Voices of the Community: FOURA
In this instalment of Beatport's 'Voices of the Community', FOURA offers insight into her journey as a neurodivergent artist and her deep connection with the Melbourne music community.
Steezy and sweet in style, sound and demeanor, Australian-based FOURA is a unique selector and producer renowned for writing and sharing a diverse range of energetic, yet emotional, UKG-inspired Electronic, Break Beat, Speed Garage, House and Techno.
Her selector journey started when she was in her early teens, curating mixtapes on burnt CDs with little journeys tailored for each of her friends. Now, her sound can be heard on rotation across both local and international airwaves, TV stations and platforms, including Rage, MTV, Triple J, FBi Radio, Foundation FM, Rinse FM, Spotify and Apple Music.
FOURA's been busy on the club scene across Australia as well as stacking up impressive international supports including most recently a national run with Chase & Status alongside key plays with Groove Armada, Zed Bias, Rudimental, Becky Hill, Sammy Virji, Peggy Gou, Flava D, Tokimonsta, DJ EZ, and Conducta.
Signed to Nina Las Vegas' NLV Records, she's had a busy two years on the production front. Her recent releases have garnered her top spots on playlists and radio rotations across the world.
Her most recent remix for Luude & Bru-C Feat. Kevin Lyttle has racked up an impressive 350k streams across platforms and received regular club support in the UKG scene. Recently finishing an Australia-wide tour with Chase & Status and Luude - keep an ear to the ground for some of her biggest shows and releases to date in 2024.
