St. David: Beatport Next Artist Stories 2025
St. David has been a total standout in this year’s Beatport Next crew – the kind of artist who rolls up with a stack of dusty grooves and reminds everyone why house music hits the soul first and the floor second. Born in Bari and raised on the DNA of ’90s American house, Davide Disanto isn’t just nodding to the past; he’s rebuilding it brick by brick, packing his tracks with chunky swing, warm chords, and that gritty, lived-in texture you only get from someone who really studies the craft. His vinyl drops have been blowing up worldwide for years, landing in sets from The Martinez Brothers, Riva Starr, Jovonn, Chris Stussy – basically anyone who wants proper house with bite.
This year, he kept feeding the fire. His Deep House Damage EP was straight basement fuel, his Swaggy Tools EP on Pitch Records is pure weaponry, while “Obsession” on Fleur Shore's Undergrowth imprint is further proof he can flip classic house energy into something fresh without losing the soul. It’s raw, it’s warm, it's deep, it’s built for dancers – simple as that.
And then there’s Theory of Swing Records, his vinyl-only house music hub, where he’s resurrecting that ’90s magic in full color. That commitment to the roots, the culture, the feel of real house music is exactly why he’s been such a force in the Beatport Next Class of 2025.
