Curation Picks: Sfarzo Rtee, Jazzworx, Thukuthela - Asiyeni (feat. DBN Gogo)

As festival season approaches in the Northern Hemisphere, it’s only right to spotlight your future Amapiano summer bangers.
One thing that has been increasingly popular lately is the use of powerful, almost male choir-like vocals. You hear it in both 3 Step and Amapiano tracks. Think songs like "Vuka" by Oscar Mbo, Jazzworx and Thukuthela, "Isaka (6am)" by Ciza & Thukuthela, and "Uzizwa Kanjan" by Jazzworx, MaWhoo & Thukuthela. It's exciting because it allows artists from these two genres to join forces sonically.
Speaking of great music, Sfarzo Rtee just dropped a beautiful album titled Rethabile. It unpacks the duality of heartbreak and healing—a soulful yet commercial experience that is often overlooked. Honestly, picking just one track to highlight was very tough because there are a few gems. I picked “Asiyeni” with thoughts of future Amapiano summer bangers in mind.
Sfarzo Rtee’s first single from the album, "Hello," which leans more towards the romantic side, is already doing well and is featured in the Beatport Amapiano Top 10. However, the track I truly believe is going to blow up is "Asiyeni." On this one, Sfarzo Rtee teams up with the matriarch of Amapiano, DBN Gogo, alongside Jazzworx and Thukuthela. Trust me, this could be one of the Amapiano songs everyone up North will be vibing to in the next few months.
