Curation Picks: Surgeon - Coaster (Slam Mix)

Slam’s remix of Surgeon’s classic 1996 track "Coaster" keeps the original’s stripped-back character but gives it a harder, more driving edge. At 135 BPM, the groove feels heavy without becoming blunt, with the track’s hypnotic quality coming from its repetition and subtle movement. It has that slightly menacing, industrial feel associated with Surgeon’s early work, but the rhythm is more immediate here, built for a modern dance floor. A tough, focused rework that doesn’t need much embellishment.
