Curation Picks: Tripmastaz - Def Murky

Tripmastaz is next up on Adam's Bite with his super funky and flavourful EP Def Murky. Tripmastaz, in my opinion, is one of the finest architects of modern House music. Anything he creates, whether it be dark and twister or groovy and soulful, is guaranteed to get the head boppin and the foot tappin.

The title track is definitely murky. Its a spiral down into the depths when compared to the first three tracks, which are very housey and uplifting. The whole arrangement is very stripped back and wonky. This still fits the EP nicely because there is an underlying bed of carefully crafted groove and sound design that fits the overall agenda. Its the perfect after-party track that is introspective but still makes you want to dance rather than sit in the corner contemplating life...
