Playlist of the Week: Manda Moor

Manda Moor
Freshly back from Ibiza with my little Beatport statue for Hype Label of the Year in hand from this year's edition of The Beatport Awards, I’m beyond excited to share some of my favourite tracks of the moment.
Some are from my label with Sirus Hood, Mood Child, others from incredible imprints I love, and of course, a few personal projects, both recent and from earlier days.
Expect spicy grooves, wicked rhythms, and standout tracks that have been rocking in my sets.
This is my latest remix, and a very special one. The original holds a big place in my heart, so it’s a huge honor to rework such a legendary track by a true icon like Roy Davis Jr. I initially asked him for the acapella to use in my DJ sets, and to my surprise, he invited me to do an official remix. I definitely felt the pressure not to mess with its magic, haha. I wanted to bring in my own spicy drums and make it more "club friendly", while still letting Peven Everett’s vocals tell the story.
I witnessed this track being produced six years ago in Ibiza, proof of its timelessness, as it’s just been released on Mood Child, my label with Sirus Hood. Gauthier DM is a talented artist from Paris and one of my oldest friends from my time living in the capital of France. He was there at my very first electronic music parties, and I’ve always admired him. Seeing him and my partner Sirus come together to create music feels amazing. I particularly love this track, it's my favourite from the three others they made.
This is my most recent original track, it will be released on May 16th 2025. It is one of my most requested IDs, no one else had it except Loco Dice who has been banging it in his sets. I'm so excited to finally share it to the world, it has high energy, lot's of drums and an addictive vocal on the breaks.
This track is a true Mood Child anthem, made by two incredibly talented Brazilian artists who rank among the label’s most prolific producers. It’s funky, driven by powerful percussion, features the iconic ‘Pakit Ban’ vocal on loop, and boasts an irresistible synth hook. I remember dropping it for the first time in Ibiza at the Paradise opening afterparty in 2023, since then, it became the anthem of summer 2024 and continues to be played by the greatest, including Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, and Luciano.
I’ve always been a fan of Nick Curly, so having his music on my label Mood Child feels truly surreal. This track is a groovy gem, featuring a unique and powerful build-up, infused with his signature rhythmic touch. I’m especially fond of this one, it’s always a pleasure to play it out.
This one’s by my good friend Malikk from South of France, one of the OG Mood Child members. It’s my favorite track of his, taken from his album released on the label. I play it in nearly every set, the groove and drum patterns are out of this world.
I’m obsessed with the groove on this track, crafted by German maestro Reboot and Mood Child co-founder Sirus Hood. To me, it embodies pure class and quality. I’m especially in love with the bassline, it purrs like a cat.
This was the first official remix I ever released, back in 2020, and I’m still very proud of it. The original by The Supermen Lovers is an iconic track, known for its beautiful melodic bassline and signature reversed clap. The release also features remixes by my French friends Amine Edge and The Mekanism, and came out on the French imprint Voyeur.
I’ve always admired Joey Daniel’s music, since the early Music On days. This track is my favorite of his, it has those deep Low Toms, rolling grooves that I love, complemented by a trippy synth that ties it all together. It’s released on Kaluki, the same label where I dropped my first EP.
I absolutely love the remix Sirus did of my track Picante on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations. It’s, without a doubt, the best he’s done. He transformed the original into a tribal banger, giving it a more driving, groovy energy.
My favorite French duo, Amine Edge & DANCE, teamed up with another duo, Prok & Fitch, to form a new duo, called Booze & Pills haha. The result is a banger with a rich, saturated sound and gritty low ends. I’m especially loving the Chicago-style hi-hats and the laid-back, nonchalant vocal.
This remix was created for Chicago legend K. Alexi Shelby, released on the House imprint Heattraxx. I’m a huge fan of K, so remixing his music was truly an honor. Marco Carola and Jamie Jones are especially fond of playing it out. It has a timeless feel, with beautiful chords and emotive vocals.
My label Mood Child has be blessed to feature the mastery of Chicago House legend DJ Sneak. He’s one of the true pioneers of electronic music, and having him on the label is a privilege. This track, released on Gangsta Moods, highlights Sneak’s iconic ‘gangster’ style, which I absolutely love.
Another milestone for me is this remix that Loco Dice made of my track KarateCat, released on his label SB Recordings. It's a huge banger, destroys dance floors every time with Dice's signature sounds and grooves. Super honored that he worked on it.
I’m loving this minimal, funky tune by Yaya from Italy. The chords and the fast groove are so good. Released on Fonky Moods, it perfectly captures the vibe of the release.
