Delivering a gritty, emotional journey through Berlin’s techno roots and beyond, FJAAK dig deep into the tracks that shaped their sound and SPANDAU20’s legacy for Beatport's Playlist of the Week.

For this Beatport Playlist of the Week, we wanted to take things back to the roots, both ours and those of the music that’s shaped us. We dove deep into the Spandau discography, pulling out tracks that represent not only key moments in our journey as FJAAK, but also timeless music that have have shaped the music identity of SPANDAU20. Berlin as a whole, has always had a rich, gritty, and raw energy that flows through the techno and house scenes here, and this selection is a reflection of that.

These are tracks that hit hard in the club, but also carry that emotional weight  and nostalgic pull. Some are tunes we rinsed endlessly in our early days, others  are ones that still give us goosebumps on a massive system. From warehouse anthems to deep, groovy cuts, this playlist is a tribute to the sound that raised us and continues to inspire what we do in the studio and on stage.

Whether you’re discovering some of these tracks for the first time or revisiting old favorites, we hope this journey through SPANDAU20 sonic history hits just as hard for you as it does for us.

J.Manuel - Tufted [SPANDAU20]

A hypnotic slow-burner from one of the OGs in our circle. J.Manuel’s production always brings a unique blend of swing and detail, and “Tufted” is no  different. It’s a track that works in the early hours or to reset the vibe mid-set.

Anna Z - Icy Liq [SPANDAU20]

“Icy Liq” lives in its own cold, metallic world. Futuristic textures and a tight,  driving rhythm make it stand out immediately. Anna’s carving out a fresh lane,  and this one fits the FJAAK sound while pushing things forward.

Dajusch – Devilwish [SPANDAU20]

Playful, bouncy, and full of groove, this one instantly caught our ears. Dajusch  brings a fun, cheeky energy to the label with this track, and it’s become a go-to in our sets lately. One of those tunes that just works.

Claus - Uber Sonic [SPANDAU20]

A minimalistic groover that goes straight to the point. “Uber Sonic” keeps it stripped back but still drives hard, with just enough weirdness to keep you locked in. A real late-night floor tool.

Elli Acula - BFF [SPANDAU20]

Elli’s signature high-energy style comes through strong here. “BFF” is fun, heavy, and full of punch, one of those tracks that cuts through the noise in a big set. She keeps bringing the fire.

Nikk - Force of Pleasure [SPANDAU20]

A standout from the latest VA. “Force of Pleasure” is sexy, dirty, and totally unapologetic. Nikk brings a bold sound with groove and attitude, which is exactly what we love to hear in the club.

KiNK, FJAAK – Overbridge [SPANDAU20]

There are no rules when jamming with KiNK. “Overbridge” is raw, chaotic, and  full of life - a true hardware session captured in a track. It’s unpredictable in the best way, and always brings the heat.

FJAAK, Tobi Neumann, Justice Mirabal - Feel You [SPANDAU20]

This one means a lot to us. A collab across generations and genres, “Feel You”  blends warmth, emotion, and bounce. Justice’s vocals and Tobi’s touch brought a whole new flavor into the process.

Norman Nodge - The Raid [SPANDAU20]

Having Norman on the label was a big one for us. “The Raid” is deep, surgical,  and totally gripping. It’s a serious DJ track, built with precision and patience, and best experienced on a big system.

FJAAK, Elli Acula - To the Peak [SPANDAU20]

Full rave mode. “To the Peak” is fast, euphoric, and totally locked in. It captures everything we love about those peak-time moments, with Elli’s unmistakable energy driving the vibe forward.
