Playlist of the Week: Busy P

Busy P Playlist BP

Busy P

Feb 18, 2025
Ahead of his performance at the 10-year-anniversary edition of CRSSD Festival, Ed Banger's head honcho Busy P turns over a selection of his favorite tunes at the moment for Beatport's Playlist of the Week.

Busy P, real name Pedro Winter, is a French DJ, producer, and music executive who has played a major role in shaping the electronic music scene. Born in 1975, he first gained recognition as the longtime manager of Daft Punk, a role he held from 1996 to 2008. His deep understanding of music, branding, and artist development helped elevate the duo to legendary status while also carving out his own space in the industry.

In 2003, Winter founded Ed Banger Records, a label that became a powerhouse in the French electro scene. Under his leadership, Ed Banger introduced the world to artists like Justice, SebastiAn, Breakbot, and Mr. Oizo, blending house, hip-hop, and rock influences into a raw, energetic sound. Beyond running the label, Busy P is known for his electrifying DJ sets, seamlessly mixing genres and keeping dance floors moving worldwide. Decades into his career, he remains a key figure in electronic music, continually pushing the culture forward while staying true to his underground roots.

We recently linked up with the French dance music icon, who sent over a selection of tracks that are "in my box to make you dance" as Pedro put it. Check out his selection of choice tunes below!

Busy P will play an electric b2b set with Braxe + Falcon at CRSSD Festival's upcoming Spring edition in San Diego. CRSSD Spring marks the start of the West Coast staple's monumental 10th-anniversary celebrations. Secure tickets here.

Been playing this one in all my sets since its release. Simply perfect house music that you dance to in the dark while making wet dreams.

Ali Love, CamelPhat - Compute [When Stars Align]

Not a new track, but they did such a brilliant job remixing this Kraftwerk classic! Satisfaction guaranteed!
