Playlist of the Week: Jacques Greene

Jacques Greene Playlist of the Week
Jacques Greene
Oct 15, 2024
Ahead of his 11th performance at the 11th edition of Miami's III Points Festival, Canadian dance music luminary Jacques Greene gives us a preview of what the dance floor can expect from his set this year for Beatport's Playlist of the Week.

11 years…. 11th time at III Points.

You could argue Miami is the beating heart of North American club culture. If that’s the case, then David Sinopoli and his team of dedicated club culture lifers are the aorta making it all go round. The vision and passion they’ve brought to the festival and their bookings year-round are a vital part of the culture.

I’ve been lucky enough to partake in every single edition. Growing in size, changing in scope, and always staying true to its mission of music. Here’s an overview of the kind of sound that, to me, is coming to define its most fun stage and where I’ll be playing on Saturday, S3qu3nc3.

Jacques Greene will be performing at III Points Festival alongside a massive lineup of talented acts like Skee Mask, Mall Grab, Priori, Ben UFO, Juan Atkins, Chloé Robinson, and more — taking place at Mana Wynwood, Miami, on October 18th & 19th. Secure tickets here.

SOPHIE - Nothing More To Say (Jackmaster Dub) [Huntley's + Palmers]
SOPHIE and Jack, we love you forever. Thank you for sharing your light with all of us.
George Daniel - Screen Cleaner (Oscar Farrell Remix) [dh2]
This has been one of the most fun, ridiculous tracks of late summer for me. Contains a certain mischievous, playful energy that feels perfectly on time.
Bodhi - All I Want [Hotflush Recordings]
Can always rely on Hotflush and Bodhi to deliver music that has depth, texture and enough swing to keep things moving.
Floating Points - Key103 [Ninja Tune]
This album is a total masterwork. It’s soooo fun to hear Sam get back into the Club seat. The amount of detail he packs into these tracks that just straight up Work on dance floors is exactly the kind of thing I like.
Nosaj Thing, Jacques Greene - RB3 (Leonce Remix) [LUCKYME.]
Working and touring more with Nosaj has been such a fun and inspiring experience. Even better to get one of my favourite dance producers remix our latest record. This Leonce remix is for the freaks. Real sweat music.
DJ Koze - Candidasa [Pampa Records]
Pound for pound, DJ Koze is one of my favourite producers and DJs of all time. I could pick about a hundred of his tracks to put in here. He always brings so much detail and emotion to club music. Really excited to share a bill with him at the Terrace at Space of all places to close out III Points weekend.
Big Ever - Minted [In A Funk With A Growing Fear]
This kind of workhorse track embodies some of the energy of the S3qu3nc3 stage at III Points. Functional, groovy, interesting. Big Ever is an easy reach for this kind of stuff.
Atrip - Junction 3 [ATRIP]
Loud, bright, euphoric. Been enjoying Atrip’s poppier forays into this kinda peak time dance tunes. Festival Fodder.
Fold - Bottomless Brunch [FLDIN2]
One of my favourite tracks of the year. This is another angle of S3qu3nc3 I’m excited to get into. Heavy, crazy party music.
K-Lone, INVT - Muévela
INVT the Miami gods, with recent favourite K-Lone. A weapon for the Space afterparty.
Nick Leon, Erika de Casier - Bikini
Another 305 diety, and one of the absolutely most solid and nicest people in all of dance music, Nick Leon. This cut with Erika is bouncy and fun. In an alternate universe this is the pop music that plays on the radio. Perfect music.
