Celebrating the arrival of her amazingly fresh 'You Know How' EP, Berlin's revered house music maven Cinthie brings us some of her most treasured contemporary grooves for Beatport's Playlist of the Week.

Hello music lovers, I’m super happy to be asked by the amazing Beatport team to share my current charts including my upcoming release on my own imprint 803 Crystal Grooves. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Cinthie. I’m living in Berlin, and I’ve been doing so for around 27 years. I’m also producing music and run my own label 803 Crystal Grooves with the sub label Collective Cuts. Unfortunately, the label has been on hold during Covid as pressing plant waiting times have skyrocketed to up to one year waiting times. And I know this is Beatport but first and foremost I play records and also run my own record store Elevate in the heart of Berlin. But I’m super happy that pressing times are back to normal and the label is back in full swing.

I’m a big house music lover, so here are my current favorites mixed with some old classics. You might also wanna check out my album Skylines - City Lights on AUS Music or my DJ Kicks releases in 2022 on K7! Music.

I hope you enjoy my selection.

Cinthie's new three-track You Know How EP drops on July 26th via 803 Crystal Grooves. Buy it on Beatport.

Cinthie - You Know How [803 Crystal Grooves]
A little bit of shameless self-promotion here, but I’m mega proud of my little banger. I tested it on many dance floors on this planet, from Panorama Bar in Berlin to Smart Bar in Chicago, from Fusion Festival to Montreux Jazz Festival. As I said already in the introduction, I’m a big, big house music lover, and this one is so far one of my best works. The piano just screams summer so much.
Fouk - Coffee [Heist Recordings]
I'm a big fan of Fouk and the Dutch label Heist, run by my dear Dam Swindles. "Coffee" is my favorite from their last EP, and I play it in all my sets. It's so groovy and pumping but still has that disco sparkle we all love and need. The build-up is so good. It's a guaranteed hands-up in the air moment.
Phil Weeks - In The Disco [Robsoul Recordings]
Phil Weeks is one of the biggest stars in the French House scene. He presents forward-thinking music with his own imprint, Robsoul Records. I can not count the number of records I have from him or his label. They are always aimed at the dance floor. This one is already a little bit older but still does the damage. It's so groovy, so funky. You should also check out his studio videos. They are incredibly funny.
Frits Wentink - Spirituel Bassline [Royal Oak]
This chart wouldn’t be complete without a track by my dear Frits Wentink. Formerly located in the Netherlands, he is now based in Spain. He is my former flatmate in Berlin and one of my absolute favorite producers ever. I mean, listen to this track, and you know what I mean. It’s house music with a twist, always groovy and absolutely innovative.
Tilman - Interstellar Traveler [Pleasant Systems]
Tilman is one of Germany’s best house producers. He hails from Mainz, which has also been the hometown of other German house legends like Ian Pooley or DJ Tonka. I chose this track from Tilman’s first album on his own imprint Pleasant Systems because it’s totally my vibe. Lovely chords, a bumping bassline, and groovy drums. I highly recommend checking out his album and the other releases on his label. You’ll definitely find some nuggets.
Dennis Quin - My Belief [Constant Sound]
Dennis is increasingly becoming one of my favorite producers at the moment. He’s definitely on a high with his production, releasing hit after hit. But this EP on Constant Sound is my favorite at the moment. It’s a bit of the new vibe in house music that is increasingly combining the dirty baselines of UK Garage with classic house elements. I've been rinsing this tune for a while now, and it’s a proper party starter.
Kaap - Can’t Believe [Heist Recordings]
I always love it when there is a new release out on Heist, not only because I released some remixes and a full EP there, but because I can be sure that the music will go straight in my bag. I absolutely love this new EP by Kaap, but "Can’t Believe" it’s my favorite tune. It’s almost giving me Detroit house vibes — so deep, so groovy.
Underworld - 2 Months Off (Tim Green Remix) [Balance Music]
This is probably my most requested track at the moment. If you want to have some emotional moments on the dance floor with pure joy, then this is your go-to track. I've been a big fan of the original track by Underworld since many, many years ago. I believe I even own a picture disc of the release; I need to check. But wow... Tim Green brought this joyous track to another level. I even had to play it twice at Panorama Bar the other night.
Elisa Elisa - Lift Me Up [Heist Recordings]
And whoops, another release on Heist caught my attention! This time, it's by cutie pie Elisa Elisa, whom I’ve been following for a while. She delivered a top-notch EP on my home-away-from-home label. Please check out the whole EP because it's fire, but "Lift Me Up" is my favorite tune from the EP.
Milion, D Stone - Floor Call [803 Crystal Grooves Collective Cuts]
Last but not least, another banger from my recently relaunched label, 803 Crystal Grooves. I'm super happy that D Stone and Milion opened the label again with their stellar 'The. Next Morning EP.' I met Milion in Amsterdam when I played at The Loft around two years ago and stayed in touch. I knew D Stone from his other releases on labels such as Cecille from Germany. Together, they are the perfect match, and "Floor Call" is my favorite tune from the EP.
