Playlist of the Week: Azzecca

Chicago’s Azzecca has spent the past few years sharpening a sound that swerves between house, techno, acid and stranger cosmic corners of the dance floor. A member of the Beatport Next Class of 2025, she followed a breakout run on Higher Ground, REALM and Factory 93 with the launch of her own COSIMEA label, expanding the party series she started as a home for open-minded, otherworldly club music.
Her latest Playlist of the Week catches that same restless streak. Pulled from records she’s been playing on her Extended Sessions tour, and tracks recently discovered on dance floors, the selection moves through chuggy house, breaks, acid, donks and playful left turns, with her own COSIMEA release “dissolve” landing in the mix.
Here’s a collection of tracks I’ve been playing on my extended sessions tour, plus some I’ve recently heard and loved on the dance floor.

On Friday, September 25, Azzecca will join an all-star crew of artists, label heads and industry professionals at Beatport Connect LA – a one-day summit in Hollywood with artist talks, production workshops, industry panels, DJ sets and networking. Learn more here.
This EP out on SlapFunk Records this year might have rearranged my brain chemistry a bit. Such a fan of Frits but these tracks are slightly heavier and a bit more experimental.
Can always count on Jeneret to push the envelope a bit and this entire EP has been on heavy rotation both in my DJ sets and car!
Recently heard this 2015 ANOTR track on the dance floor and it gave me hope that we are heading towards a simpler, chuggy era in house music again. So many gems in ANOTR’s back catalogue, hearing this inspired me to pull a few out for my upcoming sets.
One of the most exciting producers in house music right now if you ask me. I’ve been playing his tunes for a bit, but this EP in particular is something special. This track is silly and insane in the most restrained way and I just can’t get enough of it.
Delicious breaks here. I first heard his one on one of Ben UFO’s Hessle Audio mixes and it blew my mind. Heavy bass, acid, trippy vocals... can’t really ask for anything else.
Can’t get enough of this tune. Peak time gold, really. It’s super rowdy and intense but also a bit cheeky and fun. Loads of donks. Recipe for success.
I’m a big fan of Body Clinic, and I’ve been playing this one in sets for quite a while now. The production is fun but heavy, and the vocals are perfect for peak-time moments.
My recent release on my label, Cosimea. I’ve played this one out for well over a year while trying to finish it, and it really works at any point in a set. Acidic, trippy fun!
Fully delicious! I’m a fan of basically everything on Demi’s labels, but this one holds a real spot in my heart. It’s both refreshing and nostalgic. Big smiles on the dance floor vibes.
One of the best house tracks to come out this year for sure. Luke’s got a really fresh and unserious way of writing music, and I love it. More of that Australian whimsy!!
