Playlist of the Week: AC Slater

Absolutely love this release. "Bring That Beat Back" is such a nice feel good blend of hip house and tech house with a little swing to it. The b-side "Break Your Back" is also very good. Loving all the music coming out on range.

MUCKANIKS has been dropping some serious heat for a while now. His tracks are usually on the tougher bass-heavy side, but this one fills such a nice little house and garage groove pocket and is so much fun to play. Smashed it.

I made this tune in a hotel in Hong Kong. I sat chopping up a vocal sample for an hour until it turned out like this and I couldn’t get it out of my head for days. It’s one of my favorite tracks of my own to play right now, it just puts a smile on my face.

One of my favorite up and coming producers right now. His range is really versatile spanning through different flavors of house and garage. "ESWS" is probably one of the more niche tracks of his I could choose, but this one really taps into a throwback speed garage vibe that gets me hype.

Camille Doe is a sick producer out of Paris who’s been absolutely killing it. Her sound is a cool blend of house, garage and almost like a hard dance/hard-house edge to it. High energy beats with a tinge of nostalgia is the name of the game.

I played this one in every one of my sets for like three months straight. It works so well if you drop it at the right time. This one’s is off his LP on Moxy Muzik, which has a ton of great songs. I love the output of Moxy in general – it's been bringing us a super sick variety of styles. 

Incredible duo from Brazil who’s absolutely smashing it across the board. Their output is so high I can barely keep up, and that’s the best problem to have. “Getta Rush” makes me feel so good whenever I hear it. Such a bouncy, uplifting vibe with a great throwback UKG flavor. 

Sick producer from Scotland who has such a distinct production style and sound, I feel like I could blindly spot one of his tunes from a mile away. His tracks are so playable, full of good energy and super fun to mix and blend. “Hit You” is a perfect example of that exact description.

Funky and techy with a really nice bouncy bass groove. Roxe has a really unique style that stands out in a set.

I think this is my favorite track from my new mixtape. I was able to produce something different to anything I’ve done before, so it felt like a nice little step forward in evolution when I was finished with it and got to play it out for the first time.
