The French-born, London-based producer links formative classics, current favorites and key cuts from his own catalog in this week’s playlist.

Swimming Paul has spent the past few years turning heartache into dance floor release, pairing bright, rushing production with a deeply emotional core. The French-born, London-based artist followed his 2025 sophomore album, Smiling Through The Pain 2, with another prolific run of singles this year, including “Super High,” “Do You?” and the Alecc Crisostomo and D38 collaboration “Still Blessed.”

For his Playlist of the Week, he traces the music behind that instinct across 10 tracks, moving between formative classics, modern favorites and key records from his own catalog. The result connects every stage of his musical journey, from the songs that first shaped him to those still hitting hardest today.

Swimming Paul, Alecc Crisostomo, D38 - Still Blessed

"Still Blessed" is my latest release. I always love working with Alecc and D38, an incredible rapper from the UK. Alecc is a young producer in his twenties whom I met through my Discord. He lives in Mexico City and I’ve rarely seen someone so talented at that age. He’s extremely promising and I’m genuinely happy to be part of his musical journey.

Overmono - Cold Blooded

This is a track I really love. The vibe is very special, very distinct to Overmono. There’s something almost mystical about it.

Ross from Friends - Bootman

This is a track I’ve loved for several years. I actually discovered it quite late, and it opened the door for me to the whole lo-fi wave which I wasn’t listening to at all before. I still miss that sound sometimes; there were so many great tracks from that era.

Joy Orbison - Pinky ring

I’m very drawn to this kind of alternative UK electronic music. Growing up in Paris, I was exposed to a different electronic scene so I discovered this style later on. Joy Orbison is a producer I really like.

Swimming Paul, Beaux Neptune - Driving Fast

This is one of my favorite tracks from the beginning of the Swimming Paul project. I made it with Beaux Neptune, a rapper I discovered through Fiverr which is pretty insane. He’s extremely talented. We’ve worked on a lot of music together and this track is a very special one in my sets.

Charli XCX, Bon Iver - I think about it all the time

This track drives me completely crazy. I already loved the original, but the version with Bon Iver hits even harder. I’ve been a huge fan of Charli XCX from the beginning.

Chris Malinchak - So Good To Me

I was very young when this track came out, and I remember it being a real game changer at the time. I was completely hypnotized by its vibe and emotional depth. I feel like a lot of producers were inspired by it afterward.

Fred again.., Delilah Montagu - Delilah (pull me out of this)

This is probably one of my favorite house tracks of all time. It’s a masterpiece; the emotion, the use of the voice as a sample, everything is perfect. A small modern classic, even if it’s already a few years old now.

Underworld - Born Slippy

This is an absolute classic that influenced me a lot. The vibe, the chords, the lyrics, the singer’s voice and the connection to Trainspotting... all had a huge impact on me when I was younger.

Swimming Paul, Tiësto - VHS Rave

This is the track that really put me on the international map. The story is crazy! Tiësto DM’d me on Instagram to remix my track VHS. He created a version I absolutely loved, and I enjoyed it so much that I suggested we turn it into a collaboration. He agreed, and today it’s my biggest track in terms of sets.
