Samantha Togni celebrates her upcoming debut album 'The Meaningless Beautiful' with an electrifying Playlist of the Week built for wild rooms, strange moments, and music that moves both body and mind.

This playlist marks a huge milestone for me: the forthcoming release of my debut album, The Meaningless Beautiful. What makes this moment even more special is that the album is being released on the label arm of Boudica, the platform I founded back in 2019.

To celebrate, I'm spending this month on a world tour, playing some of my favourite clubs and parties across the globe, including Fold in London, Basement in New York and FVTVR in Paris. I wanted this playlist to capture both the spirit of the album and the records that are soundtracking so many unforgettable moments on dance floors like these.

Expect a journey through groovy, peak-time techno, alongside euphoric and uplifting tracks that simply make you feel like going wild with strangers on the floor. Much like the album itself, storytelling sits at the heart of this selection. I've always been drawn to records that do more than move a crowd: They create atmosphere, evoke emotion and give you something to feel.

For me, the best music doesn't just function as a tool for the dance floor; it becomes a vehicle for feeling, thinking and connecting. That's the thread running through this playlist: music that moves both body and mind.

Samantha Togni, Wax Wings – Body Mind

What better track to start a playlist that moves both body and mind? This is the first track of my debut album, a deliciously chaotic Techno track on which I decided to honour my first language, Italian. If you are into zingy and mischievous fast techno, this one is for you.

Æ.Æ - GODDÆMND

This track always feels like the start of a great trip. The moment it comes on, it's as if it's saying, "Alright everyone, we're about to have some fun."

I love how playful it is. The vocals, the percussion, the groove, they all work together to create this infectious energy that makes you want to move straight away.

Nene H - Treatment For Figurative Love

You can't help but move when this track comes on. It's intense, driving, and relentless, yet there's something incredibly captivating about it. The melody has this magnetic quality that pulls you deeper and deeper into the track.

Whenever I hear it, I think of those nights that end up lasting much longer than expected...low ceilings, red lights, the best crowd in the room, and that feeling that nowhere else exists outside the dance floor.

Ellen Allien - Riot

What I love most about Ellen's music is that you're never quite sure where she's going to take you next. Every time I see a new track from her, I get excited because I genuinely don't know what to expect. For me, the most fascinating artists are the ones who are constantly moving, developing, and reinventing their sound. Ellen is a master of that.

Dr. Rubinstein - Exctacid

Growing up in London, I had to include an acid track in this playlist. The sound of the 303 was the soundtrack to my late teens and early twenties; it instantly takes me back to long nights in warehouses across the city. Dr. Rubinstein has always embodied that spirit perfectly in this track.

Samantha Togni, I.JORDAN - False Alarm

I was playing B2B at FOLD with Jordan during a Boudica party, and we decided to test an early version of this track before it was finished. Halfway through, the fire alarm went off. The funny thing was that the pitch of the alarm fit the track so perfectly that nobody realised it wasn't actually part of the record.

We couldn't stop laughing about it, so we went back, recorded the exact same fire alarm, and worked it into the final version of the track. It ended up becoming one of my favourite memories connected to this record.

If you're into euphoric, high-energy dance music with a hard edge, this one's for you.

Danny Wabbit - Don't F**k With My Energy

Danny Wabbit hasn't just made a track that works on pretty much every dance floor, he's also given us a mantra we can all relate to. There's something about hearing that vocal come in at the right moment that always gets a reaction. Whether it's someone pushing through the crowd or that one person trying to have a full conversation with you during the best part of the set, we've all had moments where this track says exactly what we're thinking.

Schacke - Hooked

This track by Schacke has one of those sassy hooks that instantly makes you turn to your friend on the floor and give them THAT look. What I love about it is the combination of elements that shouldn't feel this effortless together: driving, sexy drums, an outrageous bassline, and a vocal that owns the room.

It's the kind of track that makes you feel yourself while simultaneously making the entire dance floor lose its mind.

West Code - Concretos y Secretos

A DJ set in which I don't play a West Code track is rare. I simply love his productions. They're groovy, chunky, and packed with bass, but they also carry a lot of UK sound that I've always been drawn to.

If you don't know West Code yet, consider this your sign to go and change that. And while you're at it, do yourself a favor and dive into the full catalogue of Agora Records; it's packed with incredible music.

Animistic Beliefs - Vú Sữa Là Gì?

I wanted to close the playlist with something that leaves a lasting feeling rather than ending on a predictable high. I love how this record slowly unfolds, drawing you into its world through atmospheric synths, hypnotic rhythms, and fragmented vocals.

For me, it creates a sense of reflection and mystery, like the final scene of a film that stays with you long after it's over. It's the perfect way to end the journey while leaving a few questions unanswered.
