Playlist of the Week: Nene H

Nene H Beatport Playlist of the Week 1

Nene H

Apr 1, 2026
Nene H charts a full-spectrum club journey, blending raw energy, leftfield twists, and unpredictable rhythms into a list of set weapons built around tension and release.

This playlist brings together different elements of my sonic universe, hypnotic and raw dance floor energy, leftfield club weapons, and peak-time golds that I reach for when shaping a set. These are records that create pressure and movement.

I approached this selection the same way I would build any Nene H DJ set. It starts with an opener and ends with three closer tracks that I love. It also includes two of my tracks, one of which is from my latest album, Second Skin.

Some of these records act as tools that shift the direction of the set, bringing in strange textures, broken rhythms, or playful twists. I’m always drawn to music that feels slightly unpredictable and drawn to the tracks that challenge the body a bit while still locking you into the groove.

From there we move to raw energetic body music and as the journey develops, the energy intensifies and moves toward peak-time techno.

This selection reflects the way I approach DJ sets: not as a fixed genre or formula, but as a living journey through different shades of club energy and always searching for that fragile balance between tension and release.

Nene H's latest album Second Skin is out now via UMAY.

Florentino, Shygirl - Pressure [XL Recordings]

When you want to establish an attitude on the dance floor. This is a super cool opening tool with an incredible build-up right from the beginning. I often use just the first minute to initiate the journey of a set. It creates tension immediately without revealing too much too early. It’s one of those tracks that sets the atmosphere and signals that something is about to unfold on the dance floor.

Estoc, Oldyungmayn - Aarish [UMAY]

“Aarish” is one of the real bangers on my label UMAY. It carries this hypnotic, driving energy that works perfectly when you’re building a break in the middle of a set. Every time it’s a powerful dance floor moment. This one sits very close to my own sonic universe. It carries a raw, almost ritualistic energy.

Jtamul - Nereie [NAAFI]

Jtamul is a super talented artist from Turkey whose work always carries a very unique rhythmic language. Tracks like this open new directions on the dance floor and bring a fresh kind of movement into the room.

Nene H - Only Words Break Silence [Tresor]

This track was part of the Tresor 30-Year Anniversary compilation alongside many legends, making it a very special release to be part of. I love the duality of the track. It can take the dancefloor from a deeper, darker corner into something much lighter and more open. It’s a piece that plays with contrast while maintaining the hypnotic tension.

Sina XX - Skin on Skin [Secta]

Sina XX is an incredibly talented Iranian artist who has also released on my label UMAY. I’ve been following his work closely, and this track captures his raw and hypnotic approach to techno perfectly. It has this intense drive that works beautifully in deeper moments of a set while still maintaining a powerful dance floor energy.

Concussion - Alquimista [DistroKid]

“Alquimista” is a classic pre-closing track for me. It carries a very particular emotional tension that prepares the dance floor for the final moments of the night. I often use tracks like this to slowly transition from peak intensity into the closing chapter of a set.

DJ Sliink - Serbian Dancing Lady [Moodswing]

This one brings a playful but slightly eerie energy into the mix. Jersey club rhythms always hit hard on a big system, and the vocal sample gives it this strange, almost meme-like atmosphere that still works surprisingly well in a club context. A great way to shift gears mid-set.

Nene H - Promises, Promises [UMAY]

I included this track from my recently released album Second Skin. It represents a side of my own work that searches for these special moments in a club. The vocal elements with the trappy beat create a sense of vulnerability and pressure at the same time. Works well with raw music if you know how to bring it in. It’s a special track for a special crowd.

William Kiss, Luke Alessi - Rambla [Gudu Records]

This record carries that irresistible rolling groove that keeps a dance floor moving effortlessly. It’s playful, slightly cheeky, and full of character without losing its punch. Works well in any tempo. Pitch it up as much as you want, it gets cuntier and cuntier.

INVT - AZOTE [INVT]

INVT always brings a very distinct energy to the club, and “AZOTE” is a perfect example. It sits somewhere between bass music, techno, and Latin club rhythms, creating this restless momentum that keeps dancers locked in. A great tool for pushing the set into more unexpected territory.
