Playlist of the Week: Mary Droppinz

Mary Droppinz
Women’s History Month is a moment to celebrate the women shaping the sounds of the underground and pushing electronic music into new dimensions. For this Beatport playlist, I wanted to spotlight artists who are moving the culture forward, either as female producers/DJs or as allies, bringing their own energy, perspective, and power to the dance floor. These are tracks that inspire me as a DJ/producer, sounds that carry emotion, intensity, and that undeniable frequency you feel when the room locks in together.
This playlist also celebrates my latest release, “Pop,” and my track with Neumonic titled “What?” – a collaboration born of a shared vision to create a cheeky garage tune. For me, collaboration is where the most exciting sonic worlds open up; it is the most fun, and this release represents that spirit of creativity and melding sounds together.
This track is my latest release on Deadbeats and has been a favorite to feature on my Multidimensional Tour. I debuted this track during my b2b set with Flava D in early January on The Friendship cruise. Proper banger with my own vocals, I am proud of this one!
Integrating my clever vocal lines with the wubby basslines makes this a super cheeky track. This release is particularly meaningful to me, especially since Neumonic is joining me on several dates of my Multidimensional Tour.
Flava D is a real homie and a huge support to me. Honestly, my favorite person to go b2b with. "Pump It Up" is the perfect track to get me energized, and it’s with Peakaboo, whose work I respect a lot!
It was a truly special experience to collaborate on this track with SHOSH and Princess Superstar. A real feminine empowerment track that we created together! It was truly a joy to work with the gals! Princess Superstar came out during my LA show with Chase & Status and performed “Pray” live, and it was my first time bringing out a vocalist on my track during my set, a moment I’ll never forget.
I absolutely love this collaboration between SKALA and Killa P! SKALA has been making some serious noise, and I am excited to hear more from her.
The track "l!sten" is an insane banger! It is a collaboration with some of my favorite producers right now: Saka & Arya.
Ya this one. It's definitely a go-to on my playlist. Dr. Ushuu is an artist I think is having a big breakout year and is definitely someone you want to follow!
Breaks and jungle are at the core of my soul, NOTHING tickles me like some proper breakbeat. This is just a lovely tune, I ride my bike to this often :)
Drone and Cesco have created a track with incredibly dynamic sound and space, which I absolutely love. Goated producers!
I'm really digging the synth work here; the way it develops and shifts across the track is fantastic. I truly believe Canary Yellow is a rising star! So excited to be on the Hard Summer lineup with them!
I'm a huge fan of both Borne and Taiki! Their collaboration is absolutely cracked, not surprised. I really appreciate the dynamic contrast between the pretty build-ups and driving drops that propel the track forward, giving it a yin-and-yang feel, which is my bread and butter!
If I find a track by Phrva, I am downloading it. We need to collaborate. I feel like it would be insane.
Collaborating with Casey Club has been a match made in heaven. Being at the forefront of bridging UK sounds into US sounds together is epic, definitely expect more from us!
I love the minimal vibe of this track with the simple vocals; it’s clean. Shoutout to Klo, she's out here doing the damn thing representing!
Breaks, you already know, dog! Big shout to Lou (aka Sicaria), absolutely stoked for her new project venture, and just a proper legend representing!
