Playlist of the Week: LB aka LABAT

Cameron Holbrook
For more than a decade, LB aka LABAT has lived within the club circuit, touring relentlessly, building community city by city, and sharpening a sound that refuses to sit still. With the arrival of his debut album Feel So Good Around U via Because Music, he turns that lived experience into a full-length statement, one shaped not in isolation but alongside collaborators he met on the road from Berlin to Melbourne.
It’s a record that captures the spirit of connection forged on dance floors worldwide, blending filtered house, breaks, techno, '90s rave, and everything in-between into a euphoric yet wired-for-impact sound. To celebrate the arrival of his album, the French artist zooms in on the tracks currently rattling his USB, the high-energy weapons and emotional peak-time moments that continue to shape his dance-floor-focused output.
This playlist is a short but impactful series of releases, and some of them are by incredible producers who are close to me. This is for the club, this is the music I dig for loud systems.

One of the best to do it, this is a good intro track to Skin's world in my book. Banger for the club, and very emotional.
Very high energy track for the dance floor, made by Australian artist Mall Grab, one of his latest releases, never misses! This is a very good intro track I often use.
When the energy in the party is dropping, and you want the whole crowd to go nuts, I just bang this one, and it works 100% of the time. This is a powerhouse tune to me!
I've been playing Europarking's tracks in every single set from the past two years. In my opinion, DJ Europarking is the best acid producer out there, very underrated. Banger after banger, he always delivers.
One of Vladimir's latest releases, providing this distinctive dubyshkyn sound with strange vocal chops. The vibe is definitely there. It's a very nice late-night energy track for me.
I've just recently discovered this artist, and I love his productions. This track has a very serious, well-produced arrangement. Always a pleasure to spin this one.
No need to introduce Vitalic. "La Rock 01" has been throughout my career, an all-time peak track for my shows. I still can't figure out how he did this track. The energy levels in this track are insane, very unique to me.
A superhero trio that made a couple of tracks together. “Drift” brings us a beautiful blend between the two Dutch production masters and Mall Grab energy. Play it out loud!
An ode to the 69 world here. Ghetto tech master of disaster, bringing the heat for the dance floors. This track has forged an undeniable effect on the Australian scene and its subsequent takeover of Europe. Partiboi is a good example, and this track sums up quite well his world of production. One of my favorites!
I've just very recently discovered this artist, and I have to say the productions are on point and sound very nice on big systems. You want to play this track when the first sun rays pop up in the club through the windows. Very ethereal.
