Tresor Pressure: Bailey Ibbs Curates His Go-To Techno Cuts

Cameron Holbrook
Bailey Ibbs has fast become one of techno’s most intriguing new operators, balancing DJing, production, and label work through his Night Service imprint. Since breaking through in 2022 with his Volta EP and gaining support from heavy hitters like DVS1 and Ben Klock, he’s kept momentum high with records for KiNK, Token, Dansu Discs, Agora Records, and his own label.
Now a resident at Tresor, he’s pushing a hybrid strain of techno, breaks, and rave that feels both rooted and forward-facing, while his recent Notice The Silence EP shows a more vulnerable and introspective side away from pure club power. For this playlist, Ibbs pulls together the tracks that have gone off in the booth and helped define his sets at the Berlin institution.
This one's all about Tresor. My residency there keeps getting better, and the connection with that community is something I treasure. It’s literally the first techno club I ever walked into, so it's deeply meaningful to me. Seeing the support for my recent releases included here has been incredible, and the other selections are tracks I'm constantly reaching for in my sets. Home listening, car rides, pre club vibes however you're tuning in, I hope you love this playlist as much as I loved choosing every single track!

This recent release has been incredibly rewarding; the response from listeners has been amazing. My goal was to create a track that can be used towards the opening moments of a DJ set to instantly set the mood in the room.
Aidan is an exciting and versatile producer right now. This one is a personal favourite of mine; I love the mood and the elaborate rhythms in this track. It’s a perfect, deep, and rolling tool.
I’ve always been a fan of Francois X’s productions, and his latest EP is the icing on the cake. Top-quality mood setter; always sets the Tresor basement on fire.
Whenever I’m playing an extended set, JSPRV35 tracks always come in handy. "Vayra" is my favourite production of theirs so far. His low ends are one of the wonders of the world.
Habgud is the master of mixing bouncy percussion and dark, moody sound design. I’m always playing his tracks to increase the energy and transition the set into something more energetic.
I’ve become a massive fan of Glaskin recently. The energy in their music is something I’ve always tried to replicate. A big inspiration for me, I can’t not include them in this list.
Those who know me well know that house music was my first love when it comes to dance music, and 1morning is someone who marries both techno and house so well.
The perfect definition of techno for me. Tough, raw, and loopy, this track is always close to hand when playing at peak time.
In spaces like Tresor, it can sometimes become a bit too intense. "Release The Groove" is the perfect way to break up the tension and whip out the salsa hips!
Stef Mendesidis is a big inspiration for me, and Tresor’s basement is the perfect home for any of his tracks. It only makes sense to have his monumental "License To Fly" in here as it was my closing track last time I played there.
