Long Island Sound: Kebabs, Clubs and Personal Irish Classics

Long Island Sound Playlist

Long Island Sound

Jan 15, 2026
A personal and proudly Irish playlist from Long Island Sound, spotlighting the friends, mentors, and scene builders who shaped their sound.

Dublin’s own Long Island Sound (Rob Roche and Tim Nolan) have been on a tear lately, pushing their euphoric, heart-on-sleeve club sound across festivals, clubs, and radio while leveling up their live show and dropping their full-length album HYDRA. For this playlist, the duo kept things close to the chest, rounding up Irish records by friends, collaborators, and scene staples who’ve soundtracked late nights, early mornings, and all the messy magic in between The result plays like a love letter to the scene that raised them: full of character, memories, mentorship and the unmistakable glow of homegrown dance culture.

"Every track here is by someone close to us - friends we’ve crossed paths with over the years, whose music has defined moments in our lives. These are Irish records that shaped our journey. Music made by people we love, and classics in our eyes." – Long Island Sound

George Earnest, Der Opium Queen - Time Heals All Wounds

A viral-YouTube-video-inspired monologue, a flute solo and a drum-machine workout: what’s not to like? Brilliant, emotionally tinged house music from Zach and Sean. This is what two best friends having fun through music sounds like. Be sure to check their solo projects too: George Earnest / GEO Corp and Der Opium Queen.

R.Kitt - Don’t Stop

This has been a staple in our sets for at least two years. Auto-tuned vocals dripping with emotion from Dublin’s unofficial lord mayor. Robbie is widely known for cycling full tilt through Dublin city with his speaker on full blast. ‘Don’t stop ever being you’.

Cromby - Futurola

During our time in Berlin, we shared many kebabs and even more Sternbergs while working in the same studio building as Chris. Anyone who’s spent time at the studios on Allee der Kosmonauten will know it’s the Wild West. Released during an incredible run of records in 2018, this was very much Cromby’s breakout moment.

Brién - Convertible Woman

The Belfast wonderkid can do it all. From Max Graef-influenced house to hip-hop to full-blown rock ’n’ roll, Pete never misses. He’s also the keys player for one of our favourite artists, Kean Kavanagh.

Bobby Analog - Luvwomanboogie

We love Bobby. Leigh was a huge mentor to us while we were setting up our own label back in 2019. This track is a standout from his sample-heavy disco-house era and remains one of our all-time favourites.

Hammer - Paraiso Tan

Rory’s music has been a constant source of inspiration over the years. We were stoked to release on his label, Remmah, in 2022 and have shared plenty of shows since. This track instantly takes us back to our first gig after the initial wave of post-Covid club re-openings.

Lee Kelly - Our Place In Time

Renowned Subject resident DJ and former All City Records slinger. Lee’s tracks have been fixtures in our sets for over a decade now. Lee - please give us more.

Plus One - We Out Here

AKA Matt Finnegan, AKA Whiskers Chinnegan. One of the best producers in Ireland and an even better guy. Matt can turn his hand to any style, and is widely known for his 2024 summer smash Bonk

Ngoni Egan - A Compute B Programme

Irish electro wizardry in full effect. We love Ngoni’s dedication and enthusiasm for the craft - not to mention that he’s one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

Sunil Sharpe - Let Christy Take It

No list of Irish tracks would be complete without the patron saint of Irish techno. This one dates back to our halcyon days in 2012, when we first started going to the Twisted Pepper in Dublin. Sunil’s contribution to Irish electronic music is unmatched.
