Playlist of the Week: Huxley

Huxley POTW 2

Huxley

Jan 14, 2026
House veteran Huxley shares a playlist of tracks he’s been rinsing lately, including cuts from his latest EP, rediscovered gems, and underground weapons built for groove-led dance floors.

I decided to make a playlist that really captures a lot of what I’m playing at the moment. I’m currently sitting in Thailand, trying my hardest to write new music for the new year, but getting distracted by iced coffees and pad kra pow. After what I think is one of my best years, release-wise, I’m probably putting too much pressure on myself!

One of my standout releases for me last year was my EP on HE.SHE.THEY., A label I’ve loved for ages, and when they reached out, I was excited to make sure this EP was all killer, no filler. They reached out in 2024, and it took us until September before the release to finalise the track on there.

Anyway, that’s enough of my waffling, here’s a bunch of music I’m playing/loving right now!

Huxley - Day Tripper [HE.SHE.THEY.]

Personally, my favourite from the EP. I really enjoyed making this track, and I love the wobbliness of it. It’s hard-hitting, with big moments, but still etched in the underground, which sums up what I’m really into.

Ambrose - Warehouse Grooves [RAWAX]

Anything from this label tickles my fancy, to be honest, but this is always one I come back to. Stripped back, with such an infectious groove. I love the tech elements in here that jump around throughout the track. This is the definition of heads down for me. Full of chunk!

Daniel Steinberg - Cone Snail [Arms & Legs]

Since Daniel started the Arms & Legs label, I think I’ve played at least one track from each EP during a set. One of the best producers out there for this vibe at the moment, in my opinion. Funky, but doesn’t overdo it. Build-ups that work everywhere. For me, this one is an absolute toe tapper. A flat-out groove with elements that stick out in the right way.

Huxley - 4 TWO 5 [southern district]

One I’ve just put out on my new label, just for my own releases. I even made the artwork! Super fun house track that progresses in a really nice way (in my opinion). Slick groove, with some nonsense vocal samples on it, what else do you need! Ha! This label will be for things I’m not sure fit anywhere, and I really want to put them out myself.

Huxley, ANDTHEN - Head On [Adesso Music]

Oh no, it’s another one by me, how embarrassing…. Last one in this list, I promise. Luke (ANDTHEN) and I actually sat down at the end of 2024 to make this, and another one, and we sat on them for ages. I’ve known Luke for years, but when I did his remix for his track ‘In the Crowd’ that came out on Adesso in 2024, we thought it was time to sit down and write some stuff together, and it made sense to put it out on the same label! Vocal-tinged house record that hopefully tickles you in the right places!

Thyladomid, Adriatique - Deep In The Three [2DIY4]

Thyladomid is criminally underrated imo, and Adriatque have obviously gone off in a different direction, but for me this track is perfection. I play a few of the 2012 parties in the UK, and this is a track I rediscovered whilst searching for music for one of those. Deep House at its best. Great bassline that just keeps everything going and a vocal that is haunting and uplifting at the same time.

Man Power - Zang Tum Tumb (Running Hot Remix) [Correspondent]

Big fan of this label and Man Power. Running Hot wasn’t someone I was aware of before, but this remix really caught my ear, and I’m definitely a new fan. I love the arp work in this, along with a groove that will keep you going for days! This track feels like a warm hug

Dragosh - Scatter Place [Desolat]

This era of Desolat was unmatched for me, and a lot of the reasons were artists like Dragosh. Deep groove, underpinned by some super cool atmosphere and vocals, this one never failed to work on the dance floor. I played this a lot around 2011/12, especially in places like Berlin and France. Unassuming belter!

Dynamite MC, Riva Starr - Unique [Snatch! Records]

Dynamite MC is one of the most underrated vocalists out there, in my opinion. I actually did a track with him for my album that never made it, but any time he’s on a record, I take notice, especially if it’s with the ever-reliable Riva Starr! For me, Riva sits in the same camp as Daniel Steinberg, always coming with the heat, and I end up playing most of the stuff he puts out!

dOP - Pictures [Thomas Melchior Remix) [dOP only]

Great to have Jaw and the crew back! I remember seeing them at a rooftop party in Barcelona for Sonar one year, and they killed it. I’ve been a fan for a long time, and loved all the earlier stuff like Prostitune. This remix by Thomas Melchior is again really stripped back, but set off by Jaw's killer vocal. He’s nailed the vibe for me.
