HBB’s Select Cuts: Grooves With Purpose

Known for blending organic textures with modern electronic drive, HBB channels influences from a life lived across continents — a thread that runs through both his new EP and the music he reaches for in his sets.
For this feature, he highlights a collection of cuts that fuel his dance floors: progressive openers that set a tone, groove-heavy rollers built for momentum, and melodic, storytelling tracks that lift a crowd into motion. Each pick carries the warmth, rhythm and emotional intention that define his approach — and offers a window into the headspace behind his latest creative chapter.
This one is an all-time favorite opener for my progressive sets. The slow build at the start sets the tone perfectly, and then that low-end punch lands just right. AfterU blends instruments in a way that pulls you into a journey and makes it super easy to transition into more upbeat energy afterward.
I’ve been loving this one lately. It’s perfect to drop in the middle of a set when you want a punchy bassline and a synth drop that always gets a reaction. The chanting vocals add this spicy little twist that gives the track a unique flavor.
With a name like this, you already know it’s dripping with groove. Mustafa is king of those rolling basslines, and he really flexes that here. It’s always a vibe and super easy to blend into other tracks.
This is the title track of my new two-track EP on Pipe & Pochet. It’s a journey blending organic and progressive house, built around earthy grooves, hypnotic percussion, and emotive synth layers. It’s my little statement of self-expression and exploration; pushing boundaries, trying new sounds, and inviting listeners into that world.
