Darin Epsilon Reflects on 15 Years of Perspectives Digital

Since its founding in 2010, Perspectives Digital has built a remarkable catalog that bridges Melodic House & Techno, Progressive House, and Deep House, helping define the sound of the underground. Over the years, the label has released genre-defining tracks that became staples in DJ sets, Beatport charts, and playlists around the world. Fifteen years later, I’m still amazed by the talent, dedication and creativity of the artists who’ve been part of the Perspectives Digital story.
Here are a few of the most iconic and memorable releases from the Perspectives Digital back catalog chosen for their chart success, longevity, and lasting impact among fans and DJs. These tracks represent more than just releases; they’re milestones in a shared passion for forward-thinking, emotionally resonant electronic music that connects listeners across the world.
I'm not gonna lie, the thought of my label turning 15 this year is really a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for me 🥲 15 years of blood, sweat, and tears, and even moving halfway across the world to another continent in order to further pursue that passion.
I couldn’t have chosen a better collaborator than my friend Nihil Young, one of the most talented and underrated producers in the industry today. XV blends the intensity of Melodic Techno with the energy of Drum & Bass, a combination I’ve rarely heard done quite like this before.
Our highest-selling track in the label’s 15 year history by a long shot. Released in the middle of the pandemic, Voyage unexpectedly exploded, receiving support by just about everybody across the dance music world including Armin van Buuren, Oliver Heldens, Sofi Tukker, Goom Gum, and many more.
Maybe it was the livestreams that catapulted this track to #1 on Beatport, where it stayed charting for an incredible 280 days!
Released at the start of the pandemic, I can only imagine how much bigger this track might have become if clubs were still open. Remixed to perfection by Miss Monique just before her meteoric rise, it remains one of the defining moments in our catalog.
I guess I was just extremely lucky and we met at ADE the year before and immediately clicked. The Original Mix was itself a viral success with over 4 million views on YouTube (watch here), cementing its place as one of Perspectives Digital’s most recognized releases.
Melodic gem with huge crossover appeal. Tale of Us featured it repeatedly in their sets, including during their Cercle performance at Charles de Gaulle Airport and EXIT Festival in Serbia.
The remix beautifully captures the cinematic emotion and tension that define the Perspectives sound — deep, powerful, and timeless.
Before “Melodic Techno” even became a buzzword, this track embodied the essence of the sound. Solomun championed it throughout his sets, including OFF Barcelona, helping establish its cult status.
Cid Inc., inspired by his experience at Australia’s Rainbow Serpent Festival, named the track after Myndie, a powerful serpent from Aboriginal mythology, which is a fitting symbol for the hypnotic energy that runs through the production.
One of the earliest hits in Kamilo Sanclemente’s career and the 2nd highest selling track in Perspectives Digital history. A peak-time melodic bomb that became a global DJ favorite.
The track also caught the attention of Kontor Records, who licensed it for one of their compilations — joining a label roster that includes ATB, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, and Scooter.
Named after the legendary 1001 Nights (also known as the Arabian Nights), one of the most famous and influential collections of stories in world literature. The stories originated in the 9th century in the Middle East, Persia (modern-day Iran), and India, and were compiled over many centuries.
Solomun heavily supported this track, including during his BPM Festival set, which was broadcast worldwide on Be-At TV. In 2017, I teamed up with SonicAcademy.com to create one of the 1st ever tutorials dedicated to producing Progressive House music. We also launched a remix contest with Paul Kardos from Hungary being crowned the winner and Ejaz Ahamed from Dubai as the runner-up.
The remix by Satoshi Fumi has a very nostalgic sound to it reminiscent of early Detroit Techno. Think something along the lines of Derrick May's classic Strings of Life. Laurent Garnier was a strong supporter, often closing his sets with it.
The piano section is what really gives it that old school character and classic feeling, making it one of the label’s top-selling tracks and a long-standing fan favorite.
The one that started it all! Break The Silence marked the official launch of Perspectives Digital in October 2010 and set the tone for everything that followed.
A brilliant original by Niko Fantin, paired with a remix from Cid Inc., established the melodic and deeply emotive sound that continues to define the label 15 years later.
