Scrappa's Dancefloor Essentials

This one is just a proper groove. One of my favourite songs to play early to let crowds know the vibe. It’s dark, it's bumpy, it's sexy, it just rolls - this tune really has my heart at the moment.
DXNBY has been a massive inspiration of mine recently; the way he blends Garage and House is second to none. His tunes have such a clean, tight energy with an underground but fun feel. Definitely something I have been trying to emulate as of recent.
No one can talk about the current UK garage scene without mentioning the contribution that Main Phase and IPC have had. This song for me perfectly encapsulates where the current garage sound is - upbeat, swaggy whilst still having that old-school speed garage touch. A song that doesn’t fail to get the people moving.
A song that hasn’t left my USB since release, an absolute essential! There is something unbelievably classy about this tune. Deep dark reese bass, upbeat clean drums, a familiar vocal - it really has it all.
Dark, gritty groovers. These two are not only experts at that, but two of my favourite producers. Such quality sound design on this one and a very unique vibe. It's my favourite curveball to throw that not only keeps them vibing, but gives them a little surprise.
I couldn’t talk about essentials without talking about Osmosis Jones. A producer who just doesn’t miss. This one has been an absolute set staple for me and such an inspiration in my own production. Cheeky sampling, catchy grooves and unmistakable energy. Something I definitely tried to emulate on ‘Count Dis’.
An all time classic! It doesn't matter how many times you listen to this song, you will never grow sick of it. Nostalgic house energy, a song to hug your mates too. This is the song that started my dance music journey many years ago and I honestly don’t think I would be here without it. This song will always remain an absolute essential and constantly reminds me of the joy of music.
