The rising star behind “Crush” and “Back Once More”, Philip Pape shares the tracks that fuel his sets and shape his sound.

Fresh off the release of his new single “Crush” on WCD Music, rising German DJ and producer PAJANE steps up for Beatportal’s Dancefloor Essentials series to share the records that never leave his USB.

Known for his high-impact sound that bridges underground grooves with mainstage energy, PAJANE has quickly become one of dance music’s most exciting new names, earning global attention with his breakout hit “Back Once More” on Tiësto’s Musical Freedom, official remixes for Tiësto and Joel Corry, and his Beatport-dominating collaboration “Riverside MF” with Joel Corry and Sidney Samson.

In his Dancefloor Essentials selections, PAJANE dives into the tracks that define his sets — from emotional, end-of-night anthems to pure groove weapons built for peak-time energy. Featuring timeless cuts from Sebastian Wibe, Nicole Moudaber, Prospa, F.O.O.L, and Balanka, these are the sounds that continue to inspire one of dance music’s brightest rising talents.

"Drift" – Sebastian Wibe

I love playing this one toward the end of my sets. It is slightly faster, super emotional, and just hits differently. The vocal, the trance-like synths, and the chords, especially in the second break right before the last drop, get me every time. There is something about this track that just gives me a feeling I cannot really describe. It closes a set perfectly.

"Reasons to Love You (Space 92 Remix)" – Nicole Moudaber

Space 92 is an absolute monster. I saw him once at Amnesia Ibiza, and even though I was about to leave, I ended up staying until the very end because his set completely blew me away. I love his sound, his productions, his pressure. When I need a track that builds slowly and then just explodes, this one is my weapon. It creates that proper bass-face moment.

"Motions" – Prospa

Motions gives me the same kind of feeling as Drift. There is something timeless about it. The dry kick, the tight bass, and that wide vocal with the slap delay just feel perfect. It is minimal, simple, and still huge. It is one of those 5 or 6 a.m. anthems you want to hear at Pacha or Space in Miami when the sun is about to rise. Pure emotion and drive.

"Feelings" – F.O.O.L (Lets Be Friends Remix)

This one is special to me. I played it to death back in 2013 or 2014 when I first started producing. Even today, it still sounds incredibly clean and powerful. It is one of those records that shaped me as a producer. When I play a high-energy set, it always finds its way in. It reminds me of why I started doing this in the first place.

"Real Smooth" – Balanka

Real Smooth is a pure groove weapon. It just bangs, no matter where you drop it. You can play it at the start, in the middle, or at the end of a long day set, and it will always do the job. It is funky, driving, and has that underground touch that keeps everything rolling. It just hits right.
