Emanuel Satie & Maga: 10 Records That Define Lisbon’s Electronic Pulse

Emanuel Satie & Maga
This selection is a dedication to the electronic music scene in Lisbon and Portugal. It includes current producers, some of our dearest friends and the Portuguese legends who laid the foundations. From DJ Vibe, Moulinex, Anna, and Parallelle to To Ricciardi, Yen Sung, Andhim, Xinobi and many more – each one represents the heartbeat of Lisbon’s music culture. Every track here is a gesture of gratitude, a way of celebrating the friends and local heroes who continue to inspire and shape our journey.
Obviously our single with Mahfoud had to be in here. He’s been a friend since day one in Lisbon and a super talented producer. Knock Out is what happens when friends have fun in the studio together.
The #1 legend of Portuguese dance culture. Too many good tracks to list, but this one is his most iconic.
Our studio neighbors and close friends, Parallelle just launched their new label Folder. This track is a highlight.
Part of the expat DJ community in Lisbon and some of our closest friends. They delivered this remix for us on our label, Scenarios.
A pioneer of Lisbon nightlife and longtime resident at Lux Fragil. Always blending authenticity with forward-thinking sounds.
A staple of Portuguese electronic music, and our studio landlord and dear friend. A trippy cut named after an area in Lisbon.
Brazilian-born but based in Lisbon. This is our favorite track from her, and it still destroys every time.
Moullinex is an incredible live act from Lisbon, but this one is a straight-up club banger that always finds its way into our sets.
Another Lisbon favorite and co-founder of Discotexas alongside Moullinex. A timeless classic in our books.
Of course, we had to include something from Scenarios, our own label and Lisbon headquarters where so much of our music comes together.
