Playlist of the Week: AZYR

AZYR Beatport playlist

AZYR

Aug 27, 2025
Following the release of his 'I'm Here Once Again' EP, Blackpool's hard techno titan AZYR curates a full-throttle Beatport playlist spotlighting his Speed Limit Records imprint, emerging talent he loves, and the peak-time weapons igniting his sets right now.

For this week’s playlist, I’ve put together a high-energy selection that really captures the sound and spirit of my label, Speed Limit Records. You’ll find plenty of releases from the label throughout, alongside tracks from some seriously underrated and emerging talent like Denis Dekay, Ali James and Version 34 – artists who I think are really pushing the boundaries of hard techno right now. I’ve also included a few of the biggest tracks I’m playing in my sets at the moment – ones that have gone off every time and had a huge impact on the dance floor. From acid-fuelled slammers to relentless, high-pressure tools, this playlist is built for full-throttle moments.

AZYR – I'm Here Once Again [Speed Limit Records]

This is the leading track from my latest EP and I’ve been playing this one for months now. I think it sums up perfectly the direction my sound has taken, and the feedback I have received from this one has been incredible.

Denis Dekay – One Shot [Revised Records]

Denis Dekay is an artist that appeared on Speed Limit’s debut release, and he is someone I’ve been supporting for a very long time. This track is one of many that ignites the dance floor and is instantly recognisable as one of his own productions. He has such a unique sound and I’m really excited for his future.

Ali James – Bassline Pumping [Speed Limit Records]

This track was a part of the first Speed Limit Record’s Various Artists and the reaction from this track was HUGE. Ali is an Australian DJ / Producer and he’s been absolutely killing it recently. I’m really excited to his growth and hopefully will see him break into Europe in the near future.

Version 34 – Flexanima [NineTimesNine]

Version 34 are a Turkish duo and their tracks have found their way into my sets for months now. They are extremely underrated, and you can expect an EP from them on Speed Limit Records this September.

Fin Caroll – Eclipse [HEKATE Records]

Fin Caroll is a young DJ/producer from Liverpool and his productions are masterpieces every time. This Hekate Records banger is super euphoric but still incredibly hard-hitting. He is definitely one to watch for the future.

AZYR, Rudaki – Crush [Speed Limit Records]

This collaboration also features on my new EP I’m Here Once Again and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Me and Rudaki incorporated our individual sounds and together and it was the perfect match. High energy, full throttle, dance floor banger.

Prydie – Your Master [Verknipt Records]

Prydie is a Welsh DJ/producer that I’ve been good friends with for several years now. He is absolutely smashing it with his releases, and I believe he deserves so much more recognition. "Your Master" has been in my sets for quite a while now and it always receives a huge reaction.

Luciid – Bye Bye (AZYR Remix) [Taapion]

The original from Luciid is such a banger, so this remix was definitely challenging; however, I think I did a really solid job. The first drop contains the classic Azyr sound you can expect in all my tracks, but then the main break is more influenced by the trance and acid sound, and I think this combination worked really nicely.

DTKØ – Power Fusion [Revised Records]

DTKØ are two up-and-coming producers from the Netherlands and their tracks have found their way into my sets for well over a year now. Their track "Power Fusion" so much energy and emotion and is guaranteed to get the dance floor shaking.

BYØRN, VIDO – Bassline People [Tomorrowland Music]

The two Belgium-based producers teamed up and created a monster of a track. This one really gets the crowd going and I will be playing this for many months to come.
