AK SPORTS

Jul 22, 2025
Australian DJ/producer AK SPORTS soundtracks their wildest summer gigs with a high BPM batch of their most unrelenting rave weapons for Beatport's Playlist of the Week.

Greetings, AK SPORTS here! This playlist is made bang in the middle of a HOT summer 2025, inspired by some highlight gigs of the year so far around the world. Some standouts include AVA festival Belfast, Terminal V Fest, EDC Korea and Thailand, Radius Chicago, and PICA Warehouse in Naarm/Melbourne for Dangerous Goods.

This playlist showcases some special moments at these gigs. I’ve listed a selection of originals as well as highlighted some up-and-coming producers that have been a blessing to play out. A sprinkle of tried and tested BANGERS of the season.

AK SPORTS' new "HELLRAISER" single drops July 25th via CLUB MADHOUSE. Buy it on Beatport.

AK SPORTS - WORK HARDER [CLUB MADHOUSE]

This bouncy sort of supercharged electro number both reminds me of modern hard-bounce but also like blog house vibes that I started underage clubbing to at 16. Simian mobile disco, Tiga, Yelle. Very catchy, sample-based music with a bit of punk rock attitude almost. I opened with this at FVDED in the park Vancouver was really fun to play out.

AK SPORTS - IN DA CLERB WE ALL FAM [CLUB MADHOUSE]

I opened Terminal V Festival in Edinburgh with this one! It’s my take on hard-groove, I guess. All the tracks are very genre-bending, but this is a nice driving one with 90s-style chord stabs and a big, boomy techno kick.

Nik Sitz - Bounce To The Sound [Revive Label]

Some classic rave references in this one, but a perfect new-hard-techno banger fits like a glove in my I like to think energetic & diverse hard techno sets. Currently putting it in my Tomorrowland set list ;)

Salvyan - Vambo Sambá [Propaganda Records]

BANGER OF THE MINUTE! Tribal, hard, fun - a hit!

Mija - Amen [CLUB MADHOUSE]

My girl Mija flipped the switch on the states about a year ago and went hard into the current Euro Groove sound and has absolutely smashed it out the park! This was also on the debut VA & we both thoroughly enjoyed playing out. Acid, vibes and Mija VOX... "amen!"

MAHTAL - Bounce It [HEKATE]

Another psy leaning techno banger with catchy vocals this one out on Sara Landry’s HEKATE records. Big ups to her for releasing a lot of hits on this label and supporting diverse producers.

CHYL - Pretty Rave Girl (feat. S3RL) [Good Luck Have Fun Records]

Happy Hardcore baby! Another genre thriving in my teens. This is produced by an Australian artist (unbeknownst to some I am also an Aussie) so I like to close my sets with it sometimes. No one else knows the lyrics and very unlikely the song but it’s a special one and the drop is sonic ecstasy. Pretty sure it’s like 170 BPM so I try to only play if I’m the closing DJ.

hhunter - Drugs, Dirty Dancing & Pounding Techno Music [HE.SHE.THEY RECORDS]

hhunter is one to watch! Chicago hard techno producer with a lot of belters to drop! This one is on my recent VA compilation on CLUB MADHOUSE. The track is a very high-vibration type of hard techno. Feels you’re in the dark church confessing your sins! REPENT!

OliverTwisted - Rock Right Now [Nothing But]

It’s been a year since I dropped my first VA on Club Madhouse so I thought I’d shout out this featured Irish producer who regularly gets played by big dogs like IHM, Shlomo, Paula Temple and regularly by myself. OliverTwisted is a hit machine this is just another example. Keep an eye on this guy.

Vorteks - Au Céo [Taapion]

Vorteks might be the best producer I play out (aside from Skrillex once or twice). This French WEAPON knows how to mix and master the loudest, cleanest and at times FILTHIEST hard techno. I love the Spanish vocals in this one I opened my Dangerous Goods 5XXL gig in Naarm/Melbourne at PICA with this one. This set will be on YouTube soon actually, if you wanna check it out.
