Playlist of the Week: Wilkinson

Playlist of the Week: Wilkinson

Drum & bass mainstay Wilkinson showcases some of the biggest tunes in his crate right now, along with plenty of gems from his label Sleepless Music, for Beatport’s Playlist of the Week.

Hey, I’m Wilkinson, a drum & bass producer, DJ and label owner from South West London. I’ve got a new album coming out called Cognition on Feb 11th, which I’m really excited about. It’s an honour to create Beatport’s Playlist Of The Week, showcasing some of the biggest tunes in my recent sets, with a mix of new, up-and-coming and established talent! Hope you enjoy it!

Wilkinson feat. Issey Cross – Used To This [Sleepless Music]

Sorry to shamelessly plug my new single, but also not sorry. Big love to Issey Cross on the vocals. She’s amazing and very, very talented.

K Motionz – Infinite (Freedom) [Sleepless Music]

I put this record out on my label, Sleepless Music, and it’s been going down really well. Big tune in my sets and K Mo is one of the nicest and most talented young producers in our scene. He’s going to have a very big future and it’s a pleasure to have him on the label.

High Contrast, Bou – Don’t Need You [Gossip]

Love this one. It’s a great collaboration from one of the scene’s legends and one of the best up-and-coming names around. Classic Contrast vocal and Bou on the bassline. Very nice.

Synergy – Lust [Sleepless Music]

Another record on my Sleepless label from some really incredible producers. The Synergy duo is ridiculously talented. The drop on this is nuts and the breakdown and 4/4 moment on the second drop is even better. Sonically they are raising the levels. Excited to have them on board.

Wilkinson – Close Your Eyes [Sleepless Music]

A tune from my new album Cognition, this track features vocals from the amazing iiolia. I’ve loved playing this one out on my recent tour of New Zealand. Goes off!

Krakota, Fred V – Back To Me [Sleepless Music]

Big tune on Sleepless. Two great guys making great music and featuring vocals from Tudor. Krakota has been killing it last year on the label, and this collaboration is a great way to kick off 2022.

Camo & Krooked, Mefjus – U [UKF]

Austria’s finest always deliver. Always original and exciting with the production and ideas. The C&K boys have been working a lot with Mefjus and they are becoming a prolific supergroup!

Break – Release Me [Symmetry Recordings]

Wicked tune. I’m never surprised. Break is one of THE unsung heroes of our scene. His quality control is next level. His basslines are next level. Proper.

Audioscribe – Hold You [Sleepless Music]

This is a stunning record. Understated, controlled, rolling production, beautiful vocals. Everything about this is class. Everyone should get to know Audioscribe.

Sub Focus – Follow The Lights (Pola & Bryson Remix) [EMI]

Nick Sub Focus needs no introduction. Pola & Bryson have killed this one with their trademark rolling production. It’s never easy to remix a classic. In fact, I would usually advise against even trying to! But these guys have done the business. A really tasteful refix of a seminal record.
