Playlist of the Week: Hybrid Minds

British drum & bass duo Hybrid Minds put their heads together to identify some of the best bangers in their arsenal for Beatport’s Playlist of the Week.

Hybrid Minds here! We’ve just released our latest single, “Dance Forever (feat. Everyone You Know),” ahead of our forthcoming EP, Reflections, which drops on October 15th. To celebrate, Beatportal asked us to do a playlist.

It’s been such a massive deal to be back playing festivals. The scene is back in full swing, and it’s so incredibly exciting. We have stayed on top of all the new music whilst going through tracks for our weekly show on Kiss. Here’s a selection of tracks that are doing it for us at the moment.

Start mixing Hybrid Minds’ playlist on Beatport LINK, or on LINK’s new DJ web app.

Hybrid Minds – Dance Forever (feat. Everyone You Know) [Hybrid Music]

We’ve always enjoyed working at slower tempos, and the last year gave us a lot of time for exploration. We wanted to create something packed with nostalgia and achieve the feelings and vibes of being amongst rave culture, which we were very much missing at the time.

Sub Focus – Last Jungle (Camo & Krooked & Mefjus Remix) [RAM Records]

The original is such a classic. Loved it the first time around and Camo, Krooked, and Mefjus have done it justice and created an absolute banger. This one has been going off!

Fred V – Radiate (feat. Lottie Jones) [Hospital Records]

One of our favourite producers has just dropped an absolutely amazing album. Fred’s tracks are always the perfect balance of musicality, feeling and energy. Whenever he works with Lottie Jones, it’s just such a vibe.

Prospa, Dimension – Want Need Love (Dimension Remix) [Polydor Records]

Pure uplifting festival anthem. Love the intro and breakdown on this.

Particle – Fall 2 Fast [Drum&BassArena]

We absolute love playing this one. Proper weighty 808s and some gully drums with great edits. Love the vocal sample.

Emba & KSR – Lost Within Your Soul [Spearhead Records]

This one gets better with every listen. Such a great chord progression with a lovely break and great vocal. That’s all you need sometimes, and this one packs a lot of vibe and feeling.

Pola & Bryson & Strategy – Anaesthetist [Shotgun Audio]

Oi! This one bangs. Love that Strategy is back on something, and he’s the perfect fit for this minimal banger.

Krakota – Be The Reason [Sleepless Music Ltd.]

Krakota is smashing it at the moment with a string of consistent festival vibes. This one proper takes it back for some old-school rave nostalgia.

Alix Perez – Trinity (Skeptical Remix) [1985 Music]

This track is a proper rolling low end banger. Love both of these producers.

Bou – Talk To Me [Gossip]

Fast becoming king of the club weapons. His new label is one to watch with this big debut. It will no doubt bring a lot of tracks that cause some damage.

Bcee – Is Anybody Out There? (S.P.Y. VIP) [Spearhead Records]

I remember when the original came out and would play it every set. This is a great twist on it with a bit more bite for the clubs.
