Beatport and Black Artist Database Announce
Platform Integration and Editorial Partnership

From today, Beatport will be integrating with the Black Artist Database platform, with editorial content to follow next year.

Today, Beatport is proud to announce an ongoing partnership with the Black Artist Database (B.A.D.), a community-based platform that hosts a wealth of Black artists and Black-owned record labels from around the globe.

A crowd-sourced database, B.A.D. provides an easy way to search, filter, and directly support the creative output of Black artists. Which is why it made perfect sense for Beatport to integrate with the B.A.D. platform, providing a direct link from B.A.D. to the Beatport profiles of many artists featured on the database.

The integration launches today, October 20th, and will be followed in early 2022 by an editorial partnership with Beatportal, which will shine a light on Black scenes, artists, creators, and journalists from around the world. Beatport hopes that this editorial partnership and API integration will help B.A.D. in its mission to connect communities and challenge inequality in the music industry. Check out the Black Artist Database here, and be sure to keep an eye out for what comes next.
