Beatport x Elijah: Playlist Challenge

DJing begins with a love of music. In this new series, Beatport and Elijah – joined by fellow artists and industry voices – invite you to take part in monthly playlist challenges and open conversations about where DJing starts and where it can go. Each month brings a new theme and a new challenge, with a $1,000 DJ bundle up for grabs each time. Check out this month’s challenge below and get involved.

If You Love Music, You’re Already a DJ is a new series from Beatport and Elijah, a London-based DJ, writer and the mind behind Yellow Squares.

Together, we’re looking at the overlap between how music fans interact with sound – be it building playlists, sharing tracks or just setting moods – and what it means to DJ. And what it means, too, to enjoy DJing without necessarily aiming for a career.

Each month brings a new theme, a guest perspective and space to think out loud about what DJing looks like in 2025, with ways to get more actively involved through a series of playlist challenges.

Each month, there’s a playlist challenge based on a theme set by Elijah or a guest.

To take part – and be in with a chance of winning a beginner DJ bundle worth $1,000 – make a playlist in response to the brief and send it over via the form above.
