Beatport x Elijah: Playlist Challenge

In this series, Beatport and Elijah, joined by fellow artists and industry voices, invited listeners to take part in monthly playlist challenges and open conversations about where DJing starts and where it can go. Take part in the final playlist challenge below.

Across the series, each challenge explored a new theme, with a beginner DJ bundle up for grabs each time. 

For our last challenge, Elijah wants you to think about the tracks that first got you behind the decks. This could be your earliest musical loves, a particular genre, artist or era, or anything else that inspired you to move from listening to mixing.

If You Love Music, You’re Already a DJ is a series from Beatport and Elijah, a London-based DJ, writer, critic and the mind behind Yellow Squares.

Together, we explored the overlap between how music fans interact with sound – building playlists, sharing tracks, setting moods – and what it means to DJ, including enjoying DJing without necessarily aiming for a career.

Each month featured a new theme, a guest perspective and space to think out loud about what DJing looks like today, with ways to get more actively involved through a series of playlist challenges.
