Titled The Magic of Tomorrowland, the event marks the first time the Belgian festival brand brings its blend of blockbuster production and fantastical aesthetics to Chinese soil. Scheduled for November 22nd, the debut is being described as a “fully immersive indoor experience” fusing large-scale stage design, storytelling, and electronic music.
Located just minutes from Shanghai’s iconic Bund, the 5,000-capacity HERO DOME is one of the city’s newest multi-use venues, purpose-built for cross-media performance. Tomorrowland's organizers are partnering with local heavyweights Hero Esports and INS Land, alongside global sponsor Budweiser, to co-produce the show.
While the full lineup remains under wraps until September, organizers have teased “exclusive China performances” from international DJs rarely seen in the region, backed by a curated mix of local and global acts. The event is also set to serve as a platform for emerging Chinese talent, a move that reflects Tomorrowland’s growing emphasis on cultural exchange and next-gen artist development.
The event also launches a new long-term alliance between Tomorrowland's artist agency arm, One World Artists, and INS Land, one of China’s most ambitious live music promoters. The collaboration will facilitate a two-way flow of talent between Asia and Europe, with plans to showcase Chinese artists on Tomorrowland's global stages and bring international names to China’s growing club and festival circuit.

The announcement comes amid broader expansion for the Tomorrowland brand. Just last week, officials in Thailand revealed that Tomorrowland is eyeing its Southeast Asian debut for 2026, potentially positioning the brand as a more dominant force in the APAC region. Meanwhile, its flagship Belgium festival will return to De Schorre Park in Boom over two weekends this July.
With The Magic of Tomorrowland, China becomes the latest destination in the brand’s sprawling universe, which already includes satellite events in Brazil and the UAE, as well as digital and winter editions. For local audiences, it’s not just another show, it’s a first glimpse into the fantasy-laced world that Tomorrowland has spent over two decades crafting.
More details, including tickets and the full artist lineup, will be announced in early September via magicoftomorrowland.com.
