Katy B Unleashes a UK Garage "Avalanche"
The South London singer's club edge remains ever-sharp on a stylish, vocal-centric single that further returns her to dance/electronic circles.

Katy B’s icy-cool new single comes hot on the heels of her recent Glastonbury sets, where the South London songstress lit up The Levels and Shangri-La Stage, respectively, putting an exclamation mark on both her summer touring schedule and “Avalanche.” The self-confident cut presents a whimsical, spirited take on UK garage/bassline with undeniable danceability and production from fast-rising dance/electronic producer, Silva Bumpa. Sonically, it reflects Katy’s increasing return to the genre's scene, building on 2024’s drum & bass doozy alongside Sub Focus, “Push The Tempo.” Listen below.
It’s both ironic and delightful that “Avalanche” exudes an ebullient, summery personality that’s allowed it to shine in the festival circuit without losing its club edge.
“I’ve had the most fun performing this live all summer so far, so very excited for you to hear it in your headphones fully,” Katy B said in an Instagram post announcing the single.
"Avalanche" is out now via Rinse, but for Katy B, it's just the tip of the iceberg of more music to come. Buy it on Beatport.
