Ma Sha Drops Stormy New Single “Sealegs,” Announces ‘Hydrofall’ EP on Steel City Dance Discs
Ma Sha dives deep into instinctual production on her new 'Hydrofall' EP, kicking things off with the raw and rolling lead single “Sealegs” – out now via Steel City Dance Discs.

NYC-based DJ/producer and Beatport Next artist Ma Sha is back with a brand new EP, Hydrofall, dropping July 31 via Steel City Dance Discs – and the first taste, “Sealegs,” is out now.
Built from late-night jams and synth-driven experiments, Hydrofall is Ma Sha at her most intuitive and free-flowing. “No map, no plan – just diving in,” she says of the creative process. The result? Four tracks that feel fluid, raw, and emotionally real.
We embark on this rollocking sonic expedition with the lead single “Sealegs,” leaving port on a “wave of buoyant instability” that cuts through the fog at 148 BPM with jagged synths, lurching grooves, and a propelling bassline that guides your footing – all coming together to create an immersive dance floor tempest. Listen below.
“This is the power water current of the EP for me," explains Ma Sha. "The main synth was recorded on the Digitone – I worked a lot on shaping it to feel bold, fluid, clean. I changed this track so many times over the past six months, but at some point, I just had to let go and trust the decisions I made during the original jam. That moment of surrender really defined the final shape of the track.”
Known for her high-energy, shape-shifting club tracks on labels like Nervous Horizon, TraTraTrax, and her cutting-edge Kindergarten Records imprint, the forthcoming Hydrofall EP sees Ma Sha’s instinctual, machine-led dialogue for the dance floor reach new heights. It also marks a major milestone: her debut solo live set goes down at MUTEK Montreal this August, signaling the beginning of a new creative chapter.
