This single offers a taste of the upcoming EP Last Journey, set for release in July, and sets the tone with its adrenaline-fueled energy, cinematic textures, and hypnotic vocal performance.
At its core, Fast Car is a track about escape, speed, and surrender — a journey that’s both physical and emotional. “I imagined the shimmering reflections on a car’s body at night — all those colors rushing by,” says Glios, who wrote and performed the vocals. Her voice, both ethereal and raw, guides the listener through this high-speed night drive.
Built in Ableton with the Moog Subsequent 37 and a wide palette of sound design tools, the production strikes a balance between darkness and elegance. Synths pulse, basslines swell, and the groove propels you forward with cinematic urgency. “Our biggest challenge,” the trio shares, “was weaving the vocals and instrumental into perfect symbiosis. But it made the track stronger — more alive.”
