Techno titan Nicole Moudaber has built a career on raising the bar, and with the launch of her new house-focused label, MoodCollective, she inches it even higher. Conceptualized as a hub for the ear-catching, character-driven strains of house and tech house that make crowds move, MoodCollective formally opens for business with “Get Back.”
The inaugural single, crafted alongside Spanish producer Castion, embodies the sonic je ne sais quoi that Moudaber will cultivate on the imprint. “I’ve always had a deep-rooted love for house and tech house, and MOOD Collective is my way of creating space for that passion to thrive. For me, it’s about the soul, the groove – not just the genre. My fans know that I love to mix things up, so this is my way of taking that one step further,” she says. “This label is about energy, connection, and playing with beats – just like those dance floor moments we live for.”
The energy is in no short supply on “Get Back.” Soulful vocals and a spry beat always make for an intoxicating combination, and in this case, they don’t just command attention but kick down MoodCollective's door in a powerful one-two punch that makes it clear that Moudaber’s new label is here to shake up the scene. Listen below.
Regarding why Castion was the ideal collaborator with whom to kick off MoodCollective, Moudaber adds, “I have been loving Castion’s style for a while now – he’s got this percussive tech house meets house sound that you can really groove to.”
