Live streaming reshaped the DJ world during the COVID-19 lockdowns, when clubs shut down and DJs turned to digital platforms to reach global audiences. But as the dust settled, many artists found that the major streaming platforms weren’t built with their needs in mind. A new player is preparing to enter the space: LFG.TV, is a platform launching later in September 1, 2025 that promises to put DJs and their communities at the center of the streaming experience.

While still keeping some plans under wraps, LFG.TV’s Director of Communications, Bill Klatt, shared with us what sets the platform apart and why the team believes the DJ streaming scene is ready for a dedicated home. A Scene That Outlasted the Pandemic Despite the slowdown in pandemic-era streaming, Klatt says the DJ community remains active, and for good reason. “Live streaming is still one of the easiest ways to connect with fans,” he says. “There are plenty of people who can’t attend live events due to geography, work, family and life in general. Streaming gives them instant access.”

Built for DJs, Not Just Creators While some platforms host DJ content, Klatt believes they’re too broad to truly serve the scene. “Most streaming platforms cater to a wide range of creators. DJs and their fans have unique needs that often get overlooked,” he says. LFG.TV is designed to address those gaps, especially around compensation and discoverability. “We felt there needed to be a platform rooted in music culture. One that understands how DJs work, and how fans want to engage with them.” Who LFG.TV Is For So who is LFG.TV targeting? “Bedroom DJs, professionals, record labels and importantly, the global fanbase that doesn’t even know these kinds of streams exist yet,” Klatt says. “There’s a huge opportunity in introducing DJ culture to new audiences.”

Measuring Success in Culture and Numbers In an increasingly saturated streaming market, what will success look like? “Our benchmarks include engagement quality, innovation, how well we meet DJs’ needs and of course, growth in users and revenue,” Klatt says. A Platform to Watch With its official launch slated for September 1, 2025, LFG.TV is betting on a more focused, music-first model in an industry dominated by generalist platforms. Whether that bet pays off remains to be seen—but for DJs and fans seeking something built just for them, it’s a space worth watching.
