Crystal Waters and ManyFew Launch “Umm Bop” Remix Contest with Change the Beat and I Am House Records

This community-driven initiative offers the chance to earn an official release and major production prizes, while celebrating inclusivity in house music.
Change the Beat and I Am House Records have announced a new remix contest for “Umm Bop,” the latest single from house music legend Crystal Waters and rising Swedish production duo ManyFew. The initiative is open exclusively to members of the Change the Beat community - a platform dedicated to supporting women and gender expansive artists in electronic music.
The contest invites eligible producers to submit their remix of the high-energy house cut, which blends Crystal Waters’ unmistakable vocal presence with ManyFew’s signature dance floor polish. With a history of fostering groundbreaking talent, I Am House Records continues its mission of inclusivity and artistic legacy through this collaboration, while Change the Beat furthers its commitment to creating safe and supportive spaces for marginalized voices in the music industry.
“From her groundbreaking 90s hits to her enduring relevance in today’s club culture, Crystal Waters is not just an artist - she’s a pillar of house music,” said a representative from I Am House Records. “This contest is about giving the next wave of artists a platform that recognizes skill, creativity, and vision.”
Participants will be competing for a prize package that includes professional production software and plugins, hardware, and - most notably - the chance to earn an official release on I Am House Records. Prizes are tiered across three winners, and all submissions will be reviewed by a panel of industry professionals.
To enter, producers must:
- Identify as a woman or gender expansive, and
- Join the Change the Beat Discord community
- Be a CTB Alumni or past winner (optional but welcomed)
Additional requirements include having a profile picture and social links on your LabelRadar profile, using at least two of the provided stems, and ensuring submissions are over 3 minutes in duration. Only one entry per person is allowed, though improved versions of a submission may be re-uploaded before the deadline.
Tracks must not be posted publicly on streaming or social platforms before the results are announced. Entrants should also be ready to provide project files upon request and must hold the rights to all additional sounds used in their remix.
How to Enter

- Submit your remix via LabelRadar by June 30, 2025 at 23:59 PST
- Join the Change the Beat Discord
Submissions that do not meet the eligibility and profile completeness criteria will be automatically disqualified.
