When we first released Dreamscapes, it felt like a deep exhale. The album was shaped in the quiet margins of life, those solitary wanderings between shows, early morning flights, the long stretches on the road where time feels suspended. That space became the heart of the record, and meant a huge deal to us. It's been cathartic and special like it always is putting out a body of work you believe in.

The music was always asking for a second life. A new shape. We love opening the door to other imaginations and seeing where other artists take each track. We’ve always been protective of our songs; they come from such personal places, but there is something thrilling about handing them over to artists we admire, and letting go of control.

We reached out to artists who inspire us, both musically and personally and couldn’t be happier to have these names as collaborators on our remixed album.

We started off the process of reimagining these tracks with our own alternative version of "Cold Confetti," the original is 133 BPM which is quite fast for what we usually usually make – our ideal set is a sunset or sunrise and playing 120-127 max, so we wanted something that could live in that space, something uplifting. We approached the rework like a letter to our past selves – same voice, different time. We added new emotion with the piano chords and really achieved that feeling of euphoria with the main synth line. This version has a bit more bite, more lift. It’s still melancholic and reflective, but there’s an overwhelming sense of release now, too.

Sinca was the first to come back with her take on "Insomnia." We played it first at Audio In San Francisco and it was just so gritty and sounded incredible in that room. We fell in love with this remix then and there – Sinca really is one to watch, she’s absolutely killing it and we love everything she’s doing. We often have our best memory of certain tracks when all the elements come together – it’s a beautiful moment as a DJ when you have the right track, at the right place, in the right time.

Fur Coat brought a darker, more cinematic energy to the table with the remix of "Mom’s Violin." Sergio originally was going to rework the track "Broken Parts" from our previous album and we just rinsed that one so many times, we knew he would smash "Mom’s Violin," and he did. He’s so good at building the energy within the darkness, those vibey arps and builds are so good for club plays. It's brooding, late-night and a little bit haunted. It really came alive the other night in Singapore at MLDR, total magic in a moody basement.

DAVI is based in LA, basically a neighbour now. He’s someone we have crossed paths with on the road and we have always loved his music since around 2011, we have similar tastes. He opened up for us when we played The Fonda and we loved his set – he plays groovy, sexy, music, but it’s not too fast, his sound is very classy and emotive. His remix of "Hello Echo" was perfect – we weren’t playing this one as much in our sets, especially when we play late night – his version is hypnotic, its got that acid in the lead line and again, a real grit that we really like – it can sometimes be difficult for us to add that more intense feel to our slower, more emotive tracks, but he captured the feel we were looking for perfectly.

Our heavier tunes tend to be made without vocals first, but when it comes to a raw song written on piano or guitar, we tend to have a bit of a barrier with change because we are so connected to these types of songs and vocals. It’s truly magical when another artist can transform that emotion into irresistible energy – something that packs a punch on the dancefloor. That transformation is one of the reasons we love collaborating so much.

Monkey Safari brought their own unique energy too. We have been fans of theirs since we started making music, and we honestly couldn’t believe they picked "Oceanside," the slowest and furthest away from the dance floor on the whole album. We have such a deep connection to this track and it felt so special that they chose it because we knew how beautifully they craft a remix. It's a perfect summer moment now with such a groove, we can imagine this one being played during a golden-hour set somewhere coastal, waves rolling in, the crowd swaying gently in time.

Our good friend Hugo Cantarra took on our favourite track from the original album, "My Reflection," reimagining it for late nights on the dance floor. He layered a dark, anthemic energy into the track’s original emotional core with heavy drums, hypnotic textures and an almost techno pulse that hits so deep. This rework is built for peak-time moments, with Hugo’s signature tension and release that really keeps you locked in.

The last one we got back was Simon Doty’s remix of "Love Again." He completely turned it on it’s head with his rolling, progressive feel but still kept the original track’s energy and the emotional weight. It's been really refreshing playing this one – we hammered the original version out so many times, and the way he shifted it from really moody to so transcendent is incredible. It’s a rare thing to pull off, changing a track’s tone while honouring its soul.

What ties all these remixes together is that each one feels like a continuation of the journey. Dreamscapes was built on that feeling of being alone in a crowd, or together in silence. These new interpretations don’t erase that, they expand it. They give the songs new scenery to wander through, new atmospheres to explore. They honour the original sentiment while offering a totally new lens.

At its core, this project is about connection, creative, emotional, and instinctive. We collaborated with these artists not because of hype or trends, but because something in their music moved us – this was about trusting other people with something intimate, and seeing how they’d carry it.

And in the end, Dreamscapes Remixes reminded us why we do this in the first place. Music is always evolving, always shifting shape. Sometimes you have to let it out of your hands to really hear it again. These remixes gave us goosebumps, made us dance, and brought us back to the source. We hope they do the same for you.
