lau.ra Drops Official Rework of CeCe Peniston’s "Finally"

After her viral bootleg edit set Instagram and NYE dance floors ablaze, UK DJ/producer lau.ra has teamed up with American dance music icon CeCe Peniston herself to release an official 2025 rework of the unforgettable 1991 club classic "Finally" — out now via [PIAS] Électronique.

The remix began as a DIY edit for lau.ra’s Drumsheds set supporting Fatboy Slim, where it immediately lit up the crowd. After posting it online, the reel racked up over a million views — one of them from Peniston, who gave it her stamp of approval. A few DMs later, the pair made it official. Listen below.

"Ever since I made this reboot of CeCe Peniston’s ‘Finally’ for my Drumsheds set back in November, it has flown and never let me down in a set yet," lau.ra tells Beatportal.
