They Call Me Steve Unveils Dreamy House Cut “Life Has Changed” from Forthcoming Album ‘Escapism’
Dutch producer They Call Me Steve returns with “Life Has Changed,” a stunning new single lifted from his upcoming debut album ‘Escapism’ on Be Yourself Music. The track follows the critically acclaimed “Whatever You Call It,” continuing a series of deeply melodic and soul-infused releases that mark a bold new direction for the artist.

They Call Me Steve is the new creative alias of Jordi van Achthoven, best known as one half of the globally renowned duo Tinlicker. Having left a lasting mark on labels like Anjunadeep, mau5trap, and Astralwerks, and after touring the globe, Jordi now channels his solo vision into a more intimate and expressive sound—blending house, synth-pop, R&B, and soul influences with masterful production.
“Life Has Changed” is a melodic house journey rich with glistening keys, dreamlike vocal textures, and lush, organic grooves. Delicate percussion dances lightly around swelling synths, creating an ethereal, uplifting atmosphere that feels both introspective and expansive.
Previously, “Whatever You Call It” set the tone with its low-slung house rhythms, romantic chord progressions, and nostalgic vocals—showcasing Jordi’s ability to build warm, emotionally resonant club tracks with depth and detail.
With ‘Escapism’ on the horizon, They Call Me Steve is emerging as a fresh, emotional voice in the melodic house and downtempo electronic landscape—bringing together heartfelt songwriting and top-tier production into one seamless experience.
