Last Thursday, May 22nd, North London’s Oakwood witnessed an unlikely transformation — a traditional tailoring studio turned underground rave. DJ Raphi, founder of creative label Running Heads, officially launched the events arm of the brand in collaboration with local tailoring company The Workroom.

“This has been a concept in talks for a while, and the green light is finally here,” Raphi shared, marking a milestone moment for the label that’s quickly gaining attention for pushing creative boundaries.

The debut pop-up wasn’t just about music — it was an experience. The Workroom’s sewing desks, normally home to spools of thread and measuring tape, were cleared to make way for decks, lights, and a powerful sound system. What’s usually a space for crafting garments became a makeshift rave venue, pulsing with energy and innovation.

The lineup featured some of London’s freshest and most exciting DJs, culminating in a standout B2B set from Raphi and Manfredi. From start to finish, the vibe was electric — raw, real, and unapologetically DIY.

In keeping with her down-to-earth ethos, Raphi vlogged the entire behind-the-scenes process. From last-minute changes to tech hiccups, the footage offers a candid look at the hustle and imperfections that often come with building something new.

“Not everything runs smoothly,” Raphi admits, “but that’s part of the story.”

The verdict? A bold, brilliant first event — and just the beginning. The Running Heads team is already planning their next move. If this pop-up was any indication, London should be watching closely.

Stay tuned — Running Heads is just getting started.
