Madd Rod reimagines Night In Athem's goth anthem from a club perspective
Berlin-based DJ, producer, and Inner Shah Recordings founder Madd Rod delivers a high-voltage remix of Night in Athens' "Words Unspoken," injecting the goth anthem with club-ready intensity and electronic drive.
Originally featured on Night in Athens' 2024 album Wasted Reflektions, the track retains its brooding, atmospheric core while Madd Rod reshapes it with pulsating rhythms and dynamic melodic layers—transforming it into a dancefloor weapon laying somewhere between EBM and Electroclash.
Night in Athens, the solo project of Tina Boletti, emerged from East London’s DIY punk scene in 2020. Blending elements of punk, darkwave, and coldwave, Boletti’s sound first caught attention with the debut EP Metropolis in 2021, continuing to evolve through synth-laden, introspective textures.
Born in Lisbon and now based in Berlin, Madd Rod is known for his genre-blurring productions and wide-ranging sonic palette. With a prolific output of original releases, two studio albums and plenty of remixes, he remains a vital force in the electronic underground.
