Simon Kemper returns under his Moulou alias for a 2nd release on West Beach Records with ‘We Hold On’, available to pre-order now and set for release on Friday 23rd May 2025.
Simon is also the mastermind writer, producer and engineer behind Lost Witness (Ministry Of Sound / Data), Cloak & Dagger (Multiply Records, Premium Plastic), The Pinch and Dusk Til Dawn.
‘We Hold On’ is an impeccable, modern love song with ethereal, uplifting vocals from Johanna Marín Carvajal. The message, which is very relevant for current times, is that with togetherness and honesty, we become more.
Moulou’s production moves in a progressive house direction with this single, but still delivers the signature lush orchestral strings, driving percussion, deep bass lines and haunting synths. Not to forget the beautiful breakdowns and devastating drops, all of which draws on Simon’s classical training.
The release package for ‘We Hold On’ also includes Spanish language versions of the Extended Mix and Edit, respecting Johanna’s Colombian roots, where she is also now based full time. These unique Español versions also reflect the size and influence of the progressive and organic house music scenes across Latin America, and are sure to be fully appreciated by the discerning audiences there.
