has not only the best of the best... but a lot of WANNABES...
People who just wanna be...
Well no, they don't just wanna be.
If that's what they wanted... that would be amazing.
We would have reached the time when all the world was enlightened...
That time is coming, but in the meantime...
there's a lot of WANNABES.
Wanna be seen.
Wanna be famous.
Wanna be on stage…
wanna, wanna, wanna…
It's kind of exhausting....
BUT... then there are true artists...
who actually just WANNABE in the studio...
Taking the dopeness that reflects their love and passion for the art and the craft — not the fame and the fortune....
Which brings me to AUDIOJACK.
They've been making beats we’ve been buying since before CDJs existed... 2006, in fact...
They’ve been releasing on the best of the best labels — from Hot Creations to Crosstown Rebels to Solid Grooves to their own label GRUUV —
and needless to say, we've been fans for a long, long time.
And finally, in 2025 — we have our very first release with them on CLUB SWEAT — aptly titled WANNABE —
for its hook of the same name.
Chopped up, gritty, tech-funk that does da bizzness.
