SG Lewis is kicking off a brand new era with “Back Of My Mind” — a euphoric, trance-tinged anthem that sees him stepping back into the spotlight as both producer and vocalist. Out now via Forever Days/Positiva, the track is a heartfelt dive into nostalgia, emotion, and the kind of dance music that sticks with you long after the lights come up.

After a wild 18 months filled with collabs alongside Tove Lo, Nelly Furtado, Chloé Caillet and Shygirl — not to mention launching his own label and throwing packed-out shows from London to Ibiza — SG took some time to reset in his London studio. The result? A deeper, more introspective sound that still hits on the dancefloor. Co-written with Julian Bunetta and Ed Drewett, and finished with longtime creative partner TEED, “Back Of My Mind” blends soaring synths with a melancholic edge, channeling the '90s trance and prog house that first inspired him. Listen below.

“After spending last year focusing on ‘Club Heat’ and ‘Forever Days’, it felt right for the first taste of the forthcoming album to be a track that I’m singing on," says Lewis. "‘Back of My Mind’ is a track about grief in all its forms, and the catharsis that can be provided by music. I wanted to create something introspective lyrically and it draws inspiration from a lot of the music I was listening to when I started producing, such as '90s trance and early prog house.”
