The track opens with a sense of calm anticipation, slowly building into a euphoric narrative. “We wanted to tell a story about adventure in a frozen world—where the unknown becomes exhilarating,” explains Wydji. Central to this story is a relentless Moog bassline, described by the duo as the protagonist, answering the distant, evocative call of a vocal that simply urges: “Take me / Beyond / The places that we know.”
Damnesie’s arrival on the project marked a turning point. “He brought the missing soul,” recalls Wydji. “He reshaped the Moog sound design and redefined the groove.” The result is a track that’s both visceral and refined—anchored by ritualistic breaks and soaring drops.
The production relies on tools like the Moog Subsequent 37, Arturia’s Pigments, and the trusted Ableton DAW to fuse analog warmth with precise digital sculpting. As Damnesie puts it, “It’s about feeling. If it impacts you, then we’ve succeeded.”
