VOLT Milano To Launch New Label VOLT Recordings
A new imprint channelling the sound and spirit of one of Europe’s most iconic clubs, the label’s first EP release comes from VOLT resident Still.i, with a brace of remixes from Gerd Janson and Echonomist

World-renowned Milanese nightclub VOLT is proud to announce the launch of VOLT Recordings, a brand new independent record label created as a natural extension of the venue’s storied evolution. Known across Europe and beyond for its razor sharp electronic music curation and immersive atmosphere, VOLT is now translating its unique sonic identity into a new platform for releases.
Since opening its doors in 2016, VOLT has grown into more than just a nightclub. Founded by cultural entrepreneur Claudio Antonioli, VOLT was created as a space where music, design and atmosphere are given equal importance. Located in the heart of Milan, the venue has earned its place as a cornerstone of the city's cultural fabric, attracting a discerning crowd and an ever-evolving lineup of global talent. From rising underground voices to some of electronic music’s most influential artists, VOLT has consistently offered a bold, uncompromising program that reflects the cutting edge of sound and style.
Now, with the launch of VOLT Recordings, that same vision is expanding beyond the club walls.
“VOLT Recordings was born as a natural extension of the club’s evolution,” the team explains. “Over the years, VOLT has grown into more than just a physical space; it has become a community, a sound and a state of mind. This isn’t just a new project. It embodies VOLT’s evolution, offering a space where our curatorial approach to sound continues beyond the club, guided by the same forward-thinking spirit. Launching a label felt like the next organic step in our journey, giving us the opportunity to translate the energy and identity of the club into a platform for releases. It’s a way to document what happens inside those walls, but also to reach beyond them and contribute to the wider conversation in electronic music.”
The label's inaugural release will be an EP from VOLT resident Still.i, a producer and DJ who has become a defining presence at the club. Known for his refined taste and emotionally charged sets, Still.i captures the essence of VOLT’s sonic identity – dynamic, precise and deeply connected to the dancefloor.
The Dance United EP rollout will unfold over two phases:
On May 30, the first single “Dance United” will be released, together with an official remix from the legendary Gerd Janson. A cornerstone of the European club circuit and head honcho of the esteemed Running Back label, Janson will bring his warm, groove-heavy sensibility to the remix, transforming the original into a sophisticated anthem for late-night moments.
On June 13, Still.i’s second single “The Underdog” will drop alongside a remix from famed Greek producer Echonomist, whose emotive and exploratory productions have earned him a strong international following. This date marks the worldwide release of the full four-track EP, which includes both original tracks and their reinterpretations.
Together, these tracks form a compelling snapshot of what VOLT Recordings aims to deliver: music that is as intentional and curated as the nights at the club itself. The label also represents a broader cultural statement. As physical spaces around the globe continue to evolve in meaning and function, VOLT Recordings affirms the idea that clubs are not just venues; they are platforms for storytelling, innovation and connection. This new imprint is a space for artists to express themselves, for listeners to engage with fresh ideas, and for VOLT to continue shaping the future of electronic music.
