UNVRS, Ibiza’s newest nightlife destination, is preparing to open its doors on May 30th, promising to fuse large-scale spectacle with high-end clubbing in a space that reimagines the island's most iconic venue.
Built on the former site of Privilege - once crowned the world’s largest nightclub - UNVRS positions itself not just as a club, but as a “hyperclub,” a term coined by its creators to describe a hybrid between the intimacy of club culture and the production scale of arena events.

Few venues carry the kind of mythos Privilege did. Born as Ku Club in the late '70s, it became synonymous with the island's golden era of open-air hedonism, hosting everyone from Grace Jones to Freddie Mercury. Its vast interior, 25-metre-high ceilings and central swimming pool made it an architectural anomaly - and a symbol of clubbing without limits.
But the pandemic brought the curtain down in 2020. What followed was a period of abandonment, with the site falling into disrepair. UNVRS, led by The Night League founder Yann Pissenem (also behind Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza), is the bold answer to what comes next.
“Bringing UNVRS to life has been one of the most intense and emotional journeys of my career,” Pissenem said in a statement. “This isn’t just a venue. It’s a commitment to what Ibiza has always stood for: freedom, expression, and the belief that the night can still surprise you.”

From the outside, UNVRS nods to traditional Ibizan architecture - whitewashed walls, natural stone, earthy textures - but inside, it’s another world entirely. The club’s designers describe it as “total sensory immersion,” with layered floors, mirrored corridors, and modular scenic elements that transform the space each night.
Its centrepiece is a dome structure visible from the San Rafael highway, acting as both a visual beacon and a terrace space offering views of Ibiza Town. The venue is equipped with a custom L-Acoustics soundsystem, engineered specifically for the space, and lighting design by High Scream, known for their large-scale touring productions.
Every room features distinct visual identities, with influences ranging from brutalism to retro-futurism and contemporary art deco. Even the toilets aren’t off limits - UNVRS features a micro-club hidden within the restrooms, dubbed The Wild Comet, complete with its own DJ booth and sound-reactive lighting. According to the venue, it’s “one of the most unforgettable rooms in the building.”

UNVRS opens with a heavyweight lineup that reads like a who's who of international club culture. The May 30th launch features Adam Ten B2B Mita Gami, Ahmed Spins, Jamie Jones B2B Carl Cox, Joseph Capriati B2B The Martinez Brothers, Carista, Salomé Le Chat, and Michael Bibi.
The programming leans into both legacy and forward-thinking acts, with residencies also confirmed from Carl Cox, Fisher, David Guetta, Jamie Jones, Anyma (May 2025 Artist of the Month), Eric Prydz (debuting an evolved “Holosphere 2.0” audiovisual show), and Ibiza mainstays Elrow.
