RetroVision & Tollef Throw a House Party You Can’t Skip
A funky house-meets-future house collision from two fan favorites
French flair meets Norwegian funk in a dancefloor-ready tune for your next house party. As a seamless fusion of funky house and future house, this track perfectly blends Tollef’s love for French house sampling with RetroVision’s high-energy Future House sound. First teased when the duo performed together at ADE 2024, "The Party" delivers a groove-packed, feel-good energy that will set dance floors alight.
RetroVision says - We started this song pretty much by accident, Tollef sent me some work in progress on instagram and I think it was literally a video. Then I imported it into Ableton, started working around it and resampling it, recorded some vocals by myself, and this led to "The Party". This song resonates with us so much as it's a complete blend between Tollef's funkyness and my own more "Electronic" approach.
Tollef says - "A collaboration with RetroVision has definitely been in the works for a while, but we finally solidified it with The Party. The song started with an idea I had on my computer late 2023. It definitely had a French touch to it, so I sent it to RetroVision for feedback. I don't think it took more than half-an-hour before he sent it back to me after having spontaneously flipped it. A bit of finessing here and there, and it was done. It's always nice to work with people who share the same vision as you, and that's definitely the case with RetroVision. I hope you all enjoy this banger of a track. Throw a Party while you're at it!"
The Party marks RetroVision’s (long expected) debut on OH2 Records. For Tollef, however, it’s his seventh release on the label, further cementing him into OH2 Records’ history and becoming a cornerstone artist on Oliver Heldens’ imprint. Both artists have a proven track record on the dancefloors, racking up support from artists such as Tiësto, David Guetta, Don Diablo, Martin Garrix, Fedde Le Grand and AFROJACK amongst others. It is to be expected that The Party will find it’s way into an array of artists’ sets, too, whilst also being very radio friendly. It’s safe to say that The Party is in the running to become a future summer hit record!
